Thanks so much for the new pic, and congrats on finishing it up!! Josh (of Cresent Moon) is awesome to deal with (I beta test for him often), so I'm sure you'll be pleased by how he handles your game's publishing. :D That being said, I'm REALLY looking forward to playing this now!! :D

Yeah, Josh has been awesome to deal with. Very patient while I've been getting this thing built part-time.

Hopefully release isn't too far off. I'm looking forward to hearing people's feedback regarding Coldfire Keep. And to getting to work on something new.

Glad to hear! As for your new project, hopefully it's another game in the same vein as Coldfire Keep! I can't get enough of these kind of games! :D

Actually, I've started tinkering on a zombie survival game :) I was reluctant because there are so many being made, but I realized that that just means people really want them, and i think 98% of the ones being made currently are rubbish. I think what I've got planned is going to be pretty interesting. Time will tell.

I have no doubt I'll be revisiting first-person RPGs at some point though. I still think I have more to do there.

I definitely agree with you on both points! If you can manage to bring something new to the zombie genre you'll definitely do well! :D

I hope you find a way to make it work for iPhone. I love this type of game but sadly don't own an iPad :/

Other western turn-based RPG control on iPhone ok like The Quest etc. here's hoping it eventually comes to iPhone !

Glad to see this is near completion; and fingers crossed for iPod/iPhone compatibility... bring on the zombie survival game too!

Of course, I might just plug right into that 98% of rubbish games. Here's hoping that's not the case though.

I did think that was ironic that an iPad only game would be in the Upcoming iPhone games but you never know... I will take that as developer confirmation of a Universal/iPhone/iPod build and reserve money for the release. Hopefully there is a timeframe announcement soon. Thank you.

I'm doing equal parts testing on an iPad2 and an iPhone 4S, and they're both playing very nicely. Josh does testing on higher end devices cause he has EVERYTHING :)

I need to grow my arsenal. It's been too long since I bought new gadgets, and game testing provides the perfect excuse to get it approved by the wife :)

As far as my timeframe goes, I'm building a small list this week of the "major" bugs that need fixing. I'm hoping to then knock all of those out this weekend, and end up with a "release candidate".

I also want to have a think about the ending of the game and maybe change it slightly as I think it currently takes itself too seriously. Easily fixed.

I'll post a couple of additional screenshots over the weekend as I'm also planning on experimenting with the environment textures and maybe changing the look just slightly.

Nice! I'm really looking forward to seeing those new screenshots! Do you have any plans on releasing a trailer or some in game footage when it gets closer to being published on the AppStore?

Hmm... that's probably another Josh type question. I swear there are SOME things I know about this game... just none of the things people are asking :)

Just a quick (and long overdue) update. Coldfire Keep isn't too far away. We're currently reworking some of the art in the game, but beyond that, it's pretty much good to go. Won't be too long now...

That's awesome news!! I can't wait to mash the download button for this! :D Is there any chance of getting a few new screenshots, or possibly a short gameplay video while we wait?? :)

I shall see what I can do. Just noted that the video in the OP is slightly dated now, so a new one would be good.

Also, apologies for the lack of updates. I'm incredibly slack with that sort of stuff. I need to get better.

Sounds good to me! And, hey, no worries about the updates. You're an independent developer, and you've only got so much time brother! Plus you've got Josh on board to release your game, so that more than makes up for it! :)
