Awesome, thanks! Oh, and don't take this the wrong way, but was this character inspired by George Takei? :)

    That's awesome! :)

I have no idea. I'll have to ask David Hattori who did all the 2D art for Coldfire Keep!

Yeah, that's all I could see when I saw the portrait, so I had to do a side by side comparison. LOL! Glad you got a kick out of it too! :D

You can almost pick people's ages by the games they compare to in this genre :)

For the older folks like me, it all goes back to Dungeon Master. The kids compare it to Legend Of Grimrock. And there's a whole lot of stuff in between...

I loved the Eye Of The Beholder games. I should really go back and play the first one again sometime.

Yeah, very true. LOL! Hell, I've forgotten how many times I've played through the first EOB. I must have started over a million times just to get the perfect party. I did the same thing with Wizardy 6 too! :D

I tried to play Wizardry 8 again recently but couldn't get back into it.

I'm going to start Etrian Odyssey IV on the 3DS soon. Supposed to be pretty cool...

I never finished Wizardy 8 either, but I really loved the voice profiles of the characters. It really added a lot to the emersion. I actually started Wizardy 6 over again (playing via iDOS on my iPad) because I actually rolled a legit Fairy Ninja! :D

As for Etrian Odyssey IV, I've heard really good things, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it. :)

Now stop playing games and finish up Coldfire Keep! LOL! :p

Can't yet. Although, if you want to be updated about the game's release I'd subscribe to this thread. Just make sure to select that you want email notifications when a new message is posted. :)

I'm really glad these types of games are getting a revival lately. I think there's enough of us out there who love this style to justify developers putting them together, and I think it's a style that has the potential to really hook more modern gamers who aren't familiar with this type of game.

I'm starting on another first person dungeon crawler as my next project too. I might just spend my life making them I think. There are worse things to do with one's time, and - with any luck - I should get REALLY good at it eventually :)
