Simpsons arcade game House of the Dead Curse of Monkey Island Twisted Metal Blood Hexen Medal of Honor Doom Rogue-Like (which is freeware so look it up) Police Quest Quake 2 and 3 (1's already on it) Mortal Kombat Heart of Darkness Rayman The old Metal Gear games (to make up for the failure of MGSTouch) Zombies Ate my Neighbors Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross Final Fantasy VII (and it's not going to happen. Well, maybe now with the PSN version) Resident Evil 1-3 (especially 2)
Kung Fu Master It would have been easy to do a pixel for pixel, sound for sound conversion of the arcade game with those exact same distinctive graphics in all its 1983 256x256 pixelated glory. Unfortunately, that would have also been a sure recipe to get sued. For folk that enjoy the gameplay of classic arcade beat 'em ups like Kung Fu Master, and would like to play them again on an iDevice, Karate Fighter remains the next best thing.
yes. you dont have much choice. not your fault, and i'm not criticizing your game in any artistic or technical aspect at all, because in reality it's a 'better', more polished and playable game than the original, but you know what i mean. how close to the original can you stay without the threat of being sued though? thats the question. a question probably only answered by a judge in a court of law.
HEXEN!!!!!!! The n64 one and BODY HARVEST that game was sooooooo sick!!!!! The graphics are doable and controls!
(OK I DIDN'T NOTICE THEY'RE NOT CLASSIC.) Oblivion Phantasy Star Portable Gran Tourismo Might and Magic Breath of Fire (III) Thief (200X, forgot the year) rockband F-Zero Star Fox Pokemon (Yup, Pokemon.) Guild Wars World of Warcraft Taiko no Tatsujin Portable
If anyone hasn't said it already.. i think Uniracers from SNES would be pretty good. Using the accelerometer/tilt. I had tons of fun on that game.
Banjo Kazooie (even though it's owned by Microsoft now so it won't happen). Konker's Bad Fur Day (Microsoft again) Gex maybe?
Dangerous Dave i dont think anyone remembers that game anymore.... but that game is a beast, there should be a port!
lolwat? The word 'owned' was typoed roughly 6 bajillion times during zerg rushes, and noto-pking at the xroads of Brittania. Now we have 'pwned' which is in a tremendously heated rivalry with: win fail epic anything for the title of, 'Words That Instantly Make You Look Like a Complete Asshole When Used.'
Of course. That game is FUN! They should also bring Apogee's old games (Crystal Caves, and Hocus Pocus, in particular). But what I mostly want is Diablo/Diablo II/Diablo III with multiplayer support. That would be KICKASS!
I am going to have to agree with s0mah on this, but I would also add any words where a 3 has been used in place of an E or (sorry s0mah) an O has been used in place of an o. Michael
yea... or maybe even a marathon port. that game was big back then, mostly because it looked like doom
Kepler, Eric Shaman, and fearless are now my favorite new posters for recommending Star Control II, Commander Keen, and Tetrisphere (a game that I will always refer to as "Phear" because that's what it was called when it was in development for Jaguar before Nintendo scooped it up as an exclusive). But, may I add, since this platform has reinvigorated my love for adventure games: Snatcher and Policenauts (finally translated!!!) That would just make me forgive Kojima for MGS: Touch. Not that MGST was a bad game...but, c'mon...it was basically the shooter portions of the MGS4 flash game that was on the MGS4 website.
Except Marathon >>>> DOOM. Seriously. Game was much more in depth than DOOM. And...y'know...it was a Mac game...so, y'know.... *sighs It'll never happen though. MS may not own them outright anymore, but they hold enough of Bungie where the latter's constant cries of "we're independent" make me laugh. MS doesn't own their asses totally anymore, but they've still got MS's handmark on a butt cheek.
