Ha actually I was just saying if anyone is interested in the game, they should try the flash game to see if they like it. I didn't word it quite right, and it all depended on how the reader read it. So I wasn't talking about beta testing, but if you'd like me to, I will.
Oh, yeah, absolutely. Here is a link to the flash game: http://www.stickpage.com/championarchergameplay.shtml Yes, we are imitating this game, but we have put a much effort into greatly expanding upon it, art and gameplay wise. We have even added in extra enemies. One enemy we have is still a surprise.
Here is one of the feisty bad guys from our Champion Archer for the iPhone. He is a quick and vicious opponent that only you can stop as he can easily bypass your Allied Swordsman.
Well actually... I hate it. It looks really bad. Lmao! No i'm just kidding it looks amazing. Good job you guys!
Then feel free to kill every one of them that you see. EDIT: P.S. I am glad you do not hate us as much as you let on!
Just noticed a similar game to our Champion Archer is coming out by Gameloft. We are submitting this game next Wednesday and it should be out between 1 - 2 weeks, dependent on the review process. So if you are debating between these 2 games, my (biased) opinion is that you should do everything in your effort to support the indie developer. (us.)
I know the game has not come out yet, but I wanted to know what you guys would like in future updates to the game? Some idea's that I received from TouchArcade users: 1. "Onslaught" mode where it is just you, your bow, and an endless swarm of enemies dedicated to annihilating all you cherish. 2. "Special Powers" - The game include upgrades after you finish a wave, but perhaps including powers, such as arrow barrage, summoning allies, catapult strike, would be fun. If so, what kind of powers would you like to see? 3. Flying Enemies - Right now the game only has ground units. Flying units could be fun. If so, what kind of units? (Dragons, Bats, etc?) Really looking forward to hearing your feedback!
Suggestions: Purchase more allies to fight alongside you Local Leaderboards, definitely Day/Night cycle Dragons? Wizards Crossbow maybe? Different landscapes I'm out of ideas
Local leaderboard and online leaderboard is there. More allies? Great idea. Day and night cycle along with different environments, definitely coming. Maybe a way to activate a wizard hero. Keep em coming. We read every response and take them into consideration.
-Hero stats (damage, speed, armor, health) -Different types of bows (crossbow, short bow, long bow, etc). Crossbow does more damage but shoots the slowest. Short bow has bad range but shoots faster . Long bow has great range but shoots slower than short bow. -Different types of arrows (fire, ice, poison, magic, heavy, piercing, etc) -Melee weapons -Different types of armor (chainmail, plate, leather, etc); different looks for different armor. Light armor makes you run faster but less defense, plate armor makes you run slower but more defense. -Spells -Upgrades for your personal bow (speed, damage, multi-shot, critical shots); different looks as you upgrade -Upgrades for your soldiers (armor, speed, damage, quantity) (I just played Medieval Rampage 2, thats where I got some of these ideas ). Also for online: A Bowman type game, 1v1 2-person type Onslaught game, like you said. You and a buddy vs many, many creatures
Dragons would be cool, but how about griffons? They tend to get neglected in these kinds of games As for "powers", maybe you could have an arrow that creates a wall of flame wherever it lands that the bad guys cannot pass until it goes away. Also, how about something that causes the creatures to turn on each other temporarily (or at the very least allows you to pick one creature to turn on the others).
Many of features listed above are in the game, such as the upgrades. There are also many great ideas and I would love to see them integrated into our game. Keep em coming, TouchArcade.
Oh nice, openfeint achievements ...I'll be getting this one. I tried that online flash version, played it for a while, fun game. Looking forward to this one.
