Yeah, this time around I bought all the iphone games like deathsmiles and dodonpachi blissful death cause they play well on my tv, not my ipad. So now I got every cave game except for black label. But if the came out with hd versions of any black label or deathsmiles, that would rock!
DoDonPachi Maximum. 5 different ships. An Easy mode that's great for beginners. A branching level/difficulty system that adjusts depending on how well you're doing, with each variation having different bosses and bullet patterns.
Cave makes the best shmups! IMO thro. my fav is espgaluga II. guess i need to upgrade it to HD real soon.
I don't know about content, but at first I liked Dodonpachi ressurection the best due to theme and crazy bullet patterns. But then after a bit, started liking Bug Princess 2 the best for its more unpredictable bullet patterns and cool bosses. Dodonpachi maximum probably has the most contents and modes, but it is not full screen on my ipad, if it was full screen, probably would be my favorite game. Just got iphone only games Deathsmiles and Blissful death to play on my tv, and enjoying deathsmiles on my tv, it looks and plays great and doesn't feel like the others, so I am really liking it right now. Seems like a lot of others like Esp 2 the best, but I never got into it as much as the others. But actually all of the cave games are good. They are probably the most consistent developer around. Everything is just awesome.
I guess technically, Deathsmiles has the most content. 8 different levels, 2 modes, with the smartphone mode having an rpg-like item upgrade system. BP2 Black & DDP Max have never left my device, though. Espgaluda II never will now that I've got the HD version. DDP Max has the most ship types, which adds greatly to its replay value.
