Old question but others may benefit. It's very close to the original. This seems to come with the expansion content, so a lot of extra tracks, a few extra racers and it renders in the PC versions 3Dfx mode. It's lacking, or at least seems to be lacking, the rear view mirror and real-time race map; the mirror I understand, it was a resource hog, but the map, that's a little more important. Beyond that the controls are excellent on iOS, and I'm known to be critical of touch controls; however, as racing game designed to be played with arrow keys it makes an incredibly solid transition to digital touch controls; once you raise the gas/break pedals a bit higher to make room for the hand-brake down below them it plays every bit as well as it does on PC, unless you used a wheel which I never did. This is definitely a must-play and is unfortunately bound to be overlooked by droves of users.
