I agree that it is really over-hyped. What will be so special about it? What makes it better than Payback? The price is also a complete rip-off. Most of the reviews I have heard so far have been negative. Things aren't looking good.
Also, I've already set aside 5.99 for this game, thinking that would be the max price. Just because you can't pay doesn't mean it's not worth that to someone else. Hell, I paid the full price for a GTA game on my computer way long ago, the crappy GBC version cost even more than 5$ and i expect more ( just based on the videos ) out of CJS than that version. Totally worth it in my opinion, but then again, I don't have a money problem.
Please do yourself a favour and get a life, nerd. I was only expressing my opinion, yours doesn't need to come into it. I appreciate that the thought of this game coming out is the best thing in your life, but right now, I couldn't really give a toss.
People like you are what's wrong with the App Store. You can't demand games that rival the depth and complexity of their console counterparts with complete musical scores, professional artwork, and hours upon hours of gameplay but only be willing to pay 99¢. It doesn't work like that.
I agree that on the grand scale of gaming, it is cheap. However, considering the ammount of excellent apps out there that only cost £0.59 ($0.99), this seems expensive. I wouldn't mind if all of the prices were shifted up by x 3 it's just the fact that you can buy lots of games, just as good for the same price. It's all relative. Although, I do understand that developing games costs money and that is why I am very grateful for the low price of apps on the app store.
LOL no one has answered you yet. I would really like to know what time it will be released here in the US (East Coast). Am I looking at 12:00am tonight?
If you don't care, why post... Anyway, the game looks sweet. Personally I like the $50k / week deal and love the graphics. And £3 ain't that much for a game of this scale - to pay back $1M @ $50k/week = 5 months of gameplay! Hope the game sells well so Paul and his team can release some cool updates and sequel(s)...
LOL and go through this hell and torture by Apple again?? Haha, I sure hope it comes out at 12:00am here in the US.
I think 11 PM EST time was predicted based on the time australia got it plus the time zone difference.
Oh sweet! Thanks, I will definitely be picking this ASAP once it hits the US stores. Now, what to do for 7 hours and 20 minutes.... lmao
Ok from what I have played so far this game is amazing...like words can't accurately describe how much I love this game lol. Of course I do not own it yet but I have played my friends who won a code and redeemed it and it is so fun. Ok first off this world that you are in is so life like and colorful that it blows all competition out of the water. The gameplay is great and the missions are awesome and challenging while fun at the same time. The movement is fluid other than the bouncing cars. the weapon is tricky to learn because you can only have one weapon at a time but it just makes the game more fun. The driving is the hardest for me right now because all the vehicles have different feels to them(you will know when you get the game) but I am learning quickly. So far after a couple hours of game play I have only had one crash but it was on a jailbroken iPod so I'm not sure if that affects it because it has been crashing a lot recently. This game, summed up, is pure fun and any combination of $5 games cannot beat this...pure heaven. Enjoy
Ok, so my first impressions: This game is HARD. By this, I mean that I have not been able to pass almost any of the jobs. This could just be me though, or possibly that there is just not enough time given to fulfill them. While the game has a lot of potential, it is missing the one thing that I feel is crucial: a map. The omission of this does not make sense... whenever I can't find someplace I am out of luck, which gets annoying. This really takes away from the gameplay. The GPS (directional arrow pointing you in the general direction of the quest) is decent, but does not replace a map. Paul, I hope you guys can fix this major flaw soon. Also, the controls are average. Especially when I am driving a car, it is tough to steer right and often I find myself running over a lot of people, which results in the police catching me. The button placement in also irritating. For example, the GPS button is directly above the d-pad, so if you slide your finger too high then it opens that screen up. One last thing that bugs me is that you have no choice but to accept every job. It takes away a lot of that "Do whatever" trait. That out of the way, its pretty enjoyable. Different cars have unique radio stations (although I often wish I could change it once in the car) and the jobs are different enough to stay interesting. The game isn't forgiving to beginners (like me ), but it seems like once you get the hang of it you will quickly progress. So far, the game DOES seem pretty controlled by jobs, although they are random. You WILL die and mess up a lot when you start the game, so be ready. EDIT: Forgot to mention that it crashes on me every once in a while. If you leave the game in any way, you automatically end up at the bottom of the map. This gets annoying when you are in the middle of something going on at the top of the map and ultimately fail it.
