Yeah, this game was supposed to come out in the summer but it never did and they didn't even explain why. Usually when this happens the game is dead.
Although I didnt like the original, I do have sympathy for the devs. Must've cost a lot to make the game AND their built in achievement system thing.
Hello! Very long time and no speak, I hope everyone is doing well out there in TA forum land. CJS 2 has been delayed but is far from dead. We have made some signifcant steps forward with the game but as someone else has mentioned already CJS cost us alot to make and the sequel is costing a lot more! As a small studio we can only do a little at a time before we run out of money hence things take us a long time to build. I believe CJS2 is really going to be ground breaking and not in the way you probably think. It's pointless us competing directly with GTA and Gangstar so we have had to think hard about how we make CJS different to them - competing on graphics and game size/story/narration is pointless so we've come up with something much different. I'll have some concept art for your thoughts soon, but until then feel free to let me know what you'd like us to do with the game and any cool ideas you might have. Also is there any demand for a high resolution iPad or iPhone 4 version of the original? Cheers Paul
YES!!! Best news I've heard all day!!! And CJS2 will be in full 3D as in over-the-shoulder type gameplay right?
As long as it's full 3D over the shoulder and has a decent ammount of content and variety and a good story I'm happy.
