Castle of Magic 2 has been announced as an upcoming title. They have shown no images so I suggest it's still in the heart of development. BIA 2 is going to have a preview in the Jan 2010 Podcast so can't be out in 2009 The other game you are thinking of is GT Racing (Due 2010) ACII is being developed and published by Ubisoft, Gameloft are only handling the Mobile version. I may have worded it wrong, nothing else has been scheduled to be released in 2009.
Gameloft's been doing phone games for many years now. The iPhone SDK just makes it a LOT easier for them to port their existing library of games as well as make new ones. Remember, they've been at the iPhone for a little more than a year now. They'll keep it up. Some will be hits (N.O.V.A.) and some will be misses (MC: Sandstorm). Of course, now Sega is getting into the fray and so are the smaller Asian RPG shops so expect a flurry of fine games to come out in the next couple of months.
I think they are shutting down for the holidays so they are getting everything they can done and released for the holiday rush. Most people end up with money or app cards in thier stocking so they want to make sure they grab your $$ on christmas day.
so we have GTA Brother in Arms 2 castle of magic 2 Assassin's Creed II (rumor) lets keep this thread on GL news
Wasn't there news about gameloft and capcom joining forces "Gameloft has announced a deal with Capcom Mobile to publish six upcoming mobile titles: Resident Evil: Uprising, Street Fighter Alpha, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2 and Where’s Wally 2. The mobile games are scheduled for release in 2010. The highly anticipated mobile games will become available to a wider consumer base in Europe, The Middle East, and Africa through Gameloft’s extensive distribution channels. This is the first partnership between Gameloft and Capcom. With a network of over 180 carriers’ worldwide across 80 countries, Gameloft has the resources, tools and know-how to distribute Capcom’s games to a broad base of consumers in Europe." If this is true than we should start hearing news about some of these I would imagine in early 2010. (although this may be just for mobile and not for iPhone exclusive) Still... Lost Planet 2 would be AMAZING!
in Gameloft's last podcast they mention it. (jump to 6:41) Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
They will continue to pump out games until they reach a rate of 1 game every second. Then on the 8th day they will rest (Gameloft is God after all).
More like over 30. For them that's just under 3 games per month and in cuurent times they have been going at around 4 per month
