Cod is only good for the multiplayer which last a short period of time due to the hackers (cheaters) that ruin it and take the fun out of it for everyone else. I no longer play cod games and will not purchase black ops unless they put a stop to the hackers. I'm not sure if it is possible to cheat on the iPhone and if it's not possible and we get cod for iPhone then I will sell my ps3 and my iPhone and ipad (when I get one) will be my only platforms for gaming.
Well for the most part unless they put in some checks the iphone is a easy target for hackers with jail-broken devices. Zenonia 2 has them rampant with modified stats and all.
Obviously that would make the most sense -- which is why I think this Glu announcement is bogus as far as the iPhone is concerned.
Where in the world does it say coming to iPhone and iPod Touch? If I'm reading it correctly, it seems as if it's only "mobile phones". Plus, Activision usually does all the publishing on the App Store, as you can see with COD: Zombies.
Well cod for the ipod would be nice even though i have it on my consule BUT the bad thing is i have never heard of Glu and ive been mobile gaming for a while
This. We have to be realistic with our expectations. There is no CoD for the PSP-what are the odds it'll come to the iPhone first? Very slim
If you've been in mobile gaming for a "while", you've definitely heard of Glu. They've had their share of success on the AppStore. Even Dreamworks and Hasbro hired them. I really hate it when devs try to cash their console success on mobile devices. There're just some things you can't scale down. You're not going to get nearly the same immersive experience on a Nokia that's main function is to make phone calls. Bioshock's mobile version was awful, Split/Second's explosions and adrenaline were more annoying than fun on the iPhone, and if anyone's played Asphalt 4 on an LG phone, they know how hard it is to control the car. Not even gonna bat an eye over this.
the psp doesnt have much of a market at all these days. if iw or treyarch were to develop a game for psp they would only lose money. the iphone version of cod zombies showed that an iphone version of cod can certainly make money. if activision did not act on this it would just be stupid, im sure an iphone verion of the game is in the works whether being developed by glu or any other company.
Im almost positive that the iphone version of black ops will not be made by Glu. I will most likely be made by ideaworks, the same people that made the cod zombies app. If Glu was making the iphone version the article would have mentioned the ipod touch as well. The iplatforms are game cosoles not mobile platdorms. If activision wants a console like game for iphone they have hired ideaworks.
probably not. Glu is doing the mobile version and ideaworks( makers of the cod zombie app) are probably making the idevice one. We'll find out at E3
