its most likely Black Ops seeing as they will be released in the same Quarter (Q4) and several references were made to Black Ops
yehr thats what i was going on but hopefully if its a success modern warfare ports will be discussed... this should be good enough for now though.
Here's a screenshot of Glu's latest CoD mobile game, based on Modern Warfare: I don't think this is what iPhone gamers are expecting when they hear the news that a CoD game is coming to "mobile." In fact, I'm almost certain that the IGN announcement had nothing to do with the iPlatform. Nothing against Glu -- they've released some really nice games -- but they're not the publisher I would go for to produce a console-style COD game for the iPhone. My guess is that any future COD games produced for iPhone will be developed by Ideaworks, the same capable folks who brought us CoD:WaW: Zombies.
I understand why u would think that glu isn't big on 3d platforming but look at it from a iPhone developement form that screenshot resembles a s60v5 most likely nokia or some Sony Ericsson phone if everyone remember how zombie infection or gangstar looked on a nokia or Sony phone but look how the iPhone changed it to a 3d platform , the iPhone wants to grace a new gaming era especially being that the 4G iPhone is just two months away and the game isn't due till late November I'm sure whatever company plans to join in the creation of this epic game would go all the way 3d fps look how simple bia,and modern combat were come on this is cod black ops...............(I have a dream that COD blacks ops will be the greatest 3D fps on the iPhone ever )lol holla

im praying for great online and like recently posted the screenshot is for an olderphone or java only phone when devepment starts on the iphone version t should end up being a great game. glu is extremely capable of creating a strong fps that should hold its own on the iphone
well activision isnt going to let them release a sub-par game, especially a COD game. im hoping if it is coming to iPhone that activison will push them to have the same quality as COD:Zombies got
Man I wish Infinity Ward was doing this game... I hope Glu will suprise me [Hateful rant] And on a sort of related note I will say without regret that I hate Treyarch with a deep, unforgiving, brutal passion, I feel like like every CoD game they made was a big fat epic fail. I am not at all excited for Black Ops after I found out that Treyarch was going to make that game with their destructive, untalented, horrible hands. I guess I will wait until next year when IW makes a game that is well deserving to be called a "Call of Duty".[/Hateful rant] Man I feel so much better after that and that's all just IMO...
Personally I think IW have gotten too big for their boots, they knew that whatever they put in mw2, people would buy it, the campaign was repetitive and confusing. And the multiplayer was good but they could have made it so much better. Black ops sounds like it will have alot of variety which would be welcome in the cod series. And that's just my opinion
i wish this is true but i doubt it if it will really happen i think Activision will be the one to develop it Glu might just make the mobile version for mobile phones excluding iPhone remember iPhone is now usually referred seperately from other smartphones

Yea the MW2 campaign was a bit sketchy (still enjoyed it though ) I feel like that they were trying to go for the shock value of the "No Russian..." mission to get the campaign brownie points. They might have just done too good of a job on MW1's campaign and they could not live up to the story perhaps.
i reckon mw2 was kind of a fail. lost its draw in a matter of months.. especially spec ops. that was the WORST. what were IW thinking with no online matchmaking? completely ruined spec ops through that one decision hated waw except for zombies cod4 was the best.. wish i didnt get rid of it
Infinity Ward is a shell of a developer now, with it's core design and development staff either fired or departed. In any event, neither they nor Treyarch has any experience developing for a portable/mobile platform. That's why Activision hired Ideaworks to develop CoD:Zombies (and ended up creating one of the highest grossing games ever releaseed in the App Store). I agree with Gsmokey that if they ever release a full CoD game for the iPhone it will be an FPS that tries to recreate the console experience. Nevertheless, I can almost guarantee that this IGN/Glu announcement has nothing to with that. No story here, folks.
It doesnt say anything about the ipod touch so i think that glu will be making the iphone version. Most likely it will be made by ideaworks, the same people that made cod:waw zombies. Not to mention that the iphone and ipod touch are more game console than mobile platform. Activision probably wants to have a fully 3d cosole like game like the zombie app. If they do that they will make a huge amount of money. There zombie app has been on the top 10 grossing for as long as can remember just think how well a full cod game will do
