Done all four. Reviewed as Marc Edward. "At first I thought it was another game that I would try and delete afterwards.. But after playing it, I got hooked and played for more levels. It's actually a good game. Thanks for this game!"
Reviewed as Steeven Wang: "I'll not say it's a must have but you should definitly give it a shot~ It's really fun and you should try as it's a free app!~" Followed on Twitter @iGhostKiller Good luck for everyone and ur app
EDIT: Removed rant because I don't want to single out Slimline Games when I know other devs have done similar contests.
Doesn't make it right. Those other devs also get rants. Except the other devs change their ways or contest, not post ten more like these guys.
OK. You've encouraged me. I'll spare the wall of text I had earlier, but in general, I think it's way over the top for devs to ASK for 4 or 5 star reviews in a contest. Honest feedback is what they should be asking for (if it's not good, I personally am nice enough to provide feedback in a PM or on the forum and not in a negative review). But basically bribing for good reviews is not good policy. Yet the pendulum swings both ways. I know there's lots of lurkers out there that just swipe up codes to get free games without helping the dev at all. That isn't much better. Anyway, don't know if this kind of thing should be moderated, but maybe it is something TA should consider.
hmm moderating this... sounds like a pretty good idea. but then again, I'm sure the mods don't quite care that much about this section of TA, considering it's all lurkers and advanced lurkers (those with accounts solely to get codes or enter contests). but IMO if this type of contest is up, a simple report should get the contest post deleted. but yes, honest feedback is definitely what the dev should be looking for. really?!?
