This game is epic. So much fun.
I'd seriously recommend that EVERYONE checks this game out when it is released.

    Got it.

And thanks Joey, we really hope we hit something that has tons of depth and stuff to do, while still allowing casual players to learn and enjoy the game.

Here is a pretty cool pic of one of the Coliseum levels (coliseum = basically the "quick play" arena mode) from one of our testers, PureSkill (this amount of enemies IS manageable with the right abilities, especially with the "crowd controller" Beetle hero). The green circles means that the Ants are being buffed by Queen Ants somewhere on the map ;)

And another cool all out battle pic by Wired360 ;)

How long should the game take a. average person to finish?

  6. There are two modes, Adventure and Coliseum. Adventure has a "tower defense" element to it in that you have to defend your base with various turrents, while Coliseum mode is straight-up dual-stick action. The length per playthrough varies depending on the difficulty level and your skill, but I find Adventure mode to take a longer amount of time usually.

Well, the game was built with replayability in mind, so its hard to tag a number on it...

That being said, it definitely takes quite a few hours to unlock everything (all the levels, equipment and turrets), and then it'll take an even longer time to master all the achievements. Also there is a lot of stuff to explore in terms of different equipment setups, turret combinations, and various strategies, so the potential is there for many, many hours of game play ;)

Just wanted to give people a quick update about the status of Bug Heroes. Right now we're wrapping things up :) Got a few finishing touches left and we hope to be submitting sometime next week! Of course with Apple offices closed the week of Christmas that means we will be looking for an early January release.

  10. Nice, I can't wait to buy it! :D

    Thanks guys ;)

Also we've been getting a few questions via PM and I'd just like to remind everyone that Bug Heroes fully supports iphone 3G and ipod touch 2G (though we have retina display and some extra effects for upper gen devices too)... I know a lot of recent games either totally abandon lower gen devices, or are basically unplayable.

Out of curiosity how many people still have a lower gen device?

This game looks good. I like the graphic already & the whole idea of bugs fighting each other with human technology is a great idea.

Thanks :) I'm actually surprised we haven't seen this theme more often... definitely gives a lot of cool options for heroes, enemies and environments. Even though the initial release will be packed with content, we have a lot of cool ideas for new updates too. Already working on new content in fact (including several new heroes and levels).

The game will not be released as universal though. We are currently looking into releasing an iPad version/universal update in the near future.

@ ninjackid -- we only did it for you ;)

Hey everyone, as we are finishing things up and readying for submission within the next day or two (been working all Christmas break ), we'd like to get some last minute feedback on the icon... Please let us know what you think ;)
