Alright, emails have been sent out. If you didn't get an email, you were not accepted into the beta. Thanks to everyone who applied though, and we're really sorry we couldn't pick everyone :/ FYI, testers were chosen (and placed in rounds) primarily depending on their devices, and a mix of randomness. If you had an ipod touch 2g, most likely you were placed in the 2nd or 3rd round, as we still have a bit more optimizing to do with lower gen devices. Also, though rounds do not have a set length, they will generally last about 2 weeks each. Let me know if anyone has any questions.
One comment ... I will be able to install the beta on monday early morning or friday (I am traveling otherwise) .... feel free to move me to another round (instead of 1) if necessary (but keep me in plssss) F.
I got in! Awesome. 3rd round. Will be be able to play the game before our round, and then in our round we send you the information, or will we get it when our round starts? So excited!
You will get access to the beta when your round starts. We have to do it this way so we have plenty of fresh perspectives after all the other fixes that happen from the rounds before yours.
I see. I guess if you just handed it out to everyone straight away then come the third round you'd have the same opinions.
Yes! I got in for the third round I haven't been following this thread to closely. But do we get a promo code for the final game since we're beta testing?
Actually I'm glad you brought this up. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a promo code for all testers. Not to seem stingy, but the initial batch of promo codes are very important, and if we gave them out to all the testers we would be left with only ~15 codes for marketing, reviews, previews, etc... which is not enough. We will probably offer some opportunities and contests during the beta to win a few promo codes, but we hope getting into the beta and playing the game early will be reward enough
So, each game can only have a certain amount of promo codes? Well, I've learnt my something new today. I DO NOT want a promo code for the full game, as I am going to buy it because you guys have probably created a masterpiece, and I want to support it by giving you my $money$.
