I thought Ubisoft was actually working on a console/PC BiA, not more of the mobile franchise. That would suck if it's just the mobile stuff because the overall plotline was left at a major cliffhanger.
Was the "new" FPS that they were announcing in Paris really this? Someone mentioned on Twitter that it was the third of a series, so I'm guessing that it was this, but we already knew this was coming so the only other possibility was the freemium NOVA 3 game. But that was a useless announcement.
There was no announcement. People on Twitter made it more than it was. It was simply people/players were invited in to play a preview build of BIA 3 and give feedback on what was good and bad about it allowing for changes to be made accordingly. The reason there is not any news about it is because of the heavy reworking from that last preview last year. People didn't want a cover shooter. They are changing it. A lot. Which takes a lot of time. It's unlikely to appear this year. There was no associated announcement. It was just a public test.
Here you go: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Brothers+in+Arms+3/news.asp?c=62645 Some confirmation finally
First game I ever bought on my iPod touch was brothers in arms. To me the time period is so much better than modern. Hope it won't always have to be online and/or IAP. But I'll take whatever they give us.
Thank God they took it off rails!! Now I got my fingers crossed for some Allied VS Axis multiplayer and I'll be stoked for months
No link, just a little bit of an indication that I picked up on. It's not definite as it looked like January was going to be the release but the aim now is before the end of the year. Which leaves only a small timescale. There is a small window of opportunity after the 29th December until 31st December to get it out before New Year but that would be very risky as iTunes connect will have a huge backlog to catch up on at that stage so it looks like pre December 22nd is the target. I'm sure it doesn't need to be said but you know yourself things can change but the plan as it stands right now and all going well (approval, etc.) is as above but is subject to change until an official announcement is made.
Thanks for the info Rip I'll have my fingers crossed until we hear something. If it doesn't release by the end of the year I'd just be happy with learning whether or not the game is still Free to Play (or "Get" to play now) or if it switched to premium when it left free roam. That interests me more than the in game movement.
Considering this game was originally planned for an "on rails single player experience" <-(whack) Does anyone know if multiplayer will be included? I have been dyingggg for a realistic "ish" WW2 team deathmatch on IOS (blitz brigade is worn out). If we could have a Day of Defeat style multiplayer game I think I would be permanently glued to my ipad screen, lol.
