So, we'll be sending off your prize packs tomorrow. It's been a crazy week though. The Bouncer Boot Out is almost ready to be launched on an unsuspecting world.

Not-so Random Question: How much does OpenFeint/Game Centre Support influence your purchase of a game? And just to double barrel the question a little: If you didn't buy games without OpenFeint or Game Centre, would you buy it knowing it would be included in that game's first update or would you wait until that update?

Or would you just not care if the game was the most awesome game about bouncers ever?

 

That's awesome to know. My own personal opinion is very much the same as yours. Mind you, if OpenFeint is in a game then I use it, but I certainly still buy games without it or GameCenter.

Anyone else have an opinion in the debate?...though it's not much of a debate since both Qurao and I have the same stance but anyhow...

 

Cool. I really do love leaderboards and how it brings out the worst in me as a person, but it's reassuring to hear that if it's not in the initial release, it's not a deal breaker.

 

Hi all, a mixed bag of news from the 5th World today.
Firstly, the flat out bad: Bouncer Boot Out has had to have its release pushed back. It was something that was mostly out of our control but we're making the best of it.

So, the good? Well, first of all, it means the extra development time lets us put OpenFeint and Game Centre support in the initial release.

More importantly, it means we'll have a decent run at beta testing, which has been delayed due to the delay in release. We're going to be starting that as of tomorrow and we're always looking for more people to get involved. So if you want in, get in touch! It means you'll be able to experience the awesome of Bouncer Boot Out a little bit before everyone else, but probably when you would have initially been expecting to

Sorry for the delay but this does mean the game is going to come out, and when it does, it will be a million times better than before. And a million times something already a million times awesome is a whole lot of awesome for your $0.99!

 

Yes, so please excuse the above post from an over-excited 5th World employee. Anyhow, after months of development, dates getting pushed back and getting people excited just to let you back down (I guess because we're evil? I dunno...), Bouncer Boot Out has been submitted, approved and is now waiting in the wings until January 10th when the boot is finally dropped on the world.

Now that the celebrations are done, I know a few people on these forums were going to beta test the game. For a lot of boring, behind the scenes reasons, that didn't end up happening. However, I will be in touch with you all and for those lucky enough to be live in the US, I'll provide you a promocode. Think of it as our Christmas present, from 5th World to you!
