I'm about to be a college freshman and was wondering if anyone knows how I could abuse the Microsoft Academic Alliance product keys for bootcamp on my mac. I really don't want to blow hard earned money on broken software. I'm a Physics major, so I know I will need windows for programming and miscellaneous physics programs that are native to Windows. PS I will internet slap the crap out of someone that says I made a mistake by purchasing a mac on this thread.
If I understand your question correctly, then yes, you shouldn't have a problem installing Windows (from whatever source) on a Bootcamp partition. For all intents and purposes, a Bootcamp-enabled Mac behaves just like a Windows PC.
Thanks for the response, but what I was really after is this... The tech guy from my school said I must have a Microsoft product disc for downloading the OS through bootcamp. I want to know if he is full of crap or if I can download the program to a zip drive and install from there. Any work arounds from people that have used microsoft alliance for a windows OS on their macs would be appreciated...
