Why is that sad? You paid $6.99 for it. The single player campaigns of many $40.00 FPSs (including Modern Warfare) clock at around 6-8 hours. As far as I'm concerned, Nova is a bargain.
Hahaha....I'm going to regret saying this but....I really have enjoyed Nova. Yep that's right...I like it. Sure it's a shameless slap in the face to originality, and sure I rolled my eyes about 15 times, but all in all, it's my favorite gameloft game to date, and the only one sitting anywhere near my top 16. The controls are well...perfect, and what can I say?...it's pretty. REALLY pretty. So there you have it. I finally enjoyed a GL game other than Hot shots. It's not perfect, nor is it immensly memorable,...but it is impressive, through and through. My personal vote still goes out to COD zombies. I <3 that game so ****ing hard!
I really do like N.O.V.A., but just wondering as I have only played through 4 missions of the campaign, are there more than 3 different enemy types? Or am I just gonna be killing those hissing guys, those little tiny running things, and the giant oath things. Also, I enjoy the reward system in Eliminate's multiplayer, however the levels are nicer in N.O.V.A. Both great games considering the platform.
In other news, hell has frozen over... Don't worry, I still have you in my book as TA's most articulate Gameloft hater. Glad you enjoyed Nova, though.
You should run into some bosses soon, and there are a couple more enemy-types once you reach the aliens ship. But, like Halo, there's not a huge variety of enemies. @tzual: I'm actually really looking forward to that Infinity Project update. As it is, the game is surprisingly well done for an indie FPS title. ToonWarz is also decent, though the campaign seriously needs checkpoints and the online multiplayer is usually pretty empty (though it actually works very well when you can find players).
seriously, I don't understand how people are this thrifty these days and are so blind to see how little they for games that cost a great deal to produce.
I would say Toon Warz it has online (if you get bored in singleplayer) and a free-roam campain with a solid amount of missions that are VERY objective based. you have to do things in order to get the job done
all i have to say is that the multi player in nova is very poor i find it to be too simple and you can see who is across the map because of the name tags, eliminate did a much better job at multi player
*points to thread title* i honestly do not care about multiplayer for my iphone games. So far im leaning towards trying infinity project and sandstorm. From the videos i saw of novas campaign it seemed way to easy. Never played the nazi zombie game. The defend the base concept sounds fun but not 10$ fun. Might get doom. Beaten it many times but it never really gets old. Are secret levels are harder difficulties included in the port? Thanks all for your input.
Alright, I'm going to buy Modern Combat: Sandstorm (Liking the demo) or NOVA. If you were going to play ONLY single player, which one would you choose? Leaning towards MC because I think it's going to be more challenging, but would like to hear a bit more input from those who have played the games before I drop my cash. Thanks.
