I find this pole very interesting. Thanks to all those who support Bounce On. I think you would be surprised to find your not in the minority if you check the rankings in the app store
Thanks for the info... It seems that they updated the character (it used to not have any facial features) since i tried the lite (about 7 months ago ) Maybe i'll get bounce on 2 when it comes out
I like Soosiz, I think is the best choice. Rolando is the worst. Please consider Rick Rocketson Pro, I have it for a long time and I keep playing it. Lots of fun and downloadable online levels.
True, indeed it does have a 4.5 star rating in the app store. That's really fantastic! Also, you made me realize that I haven't left an iTunes review yet Shame on me! Doing that now. I think I said what I did because I've really tried to sell TA people on this game, with varying results. It's such a great game, it surprises me that people don't immediately buy it after trying it. Although there's soo much competition for people's dollars that it's easy for a game to get left in the dust. I just think that with how popular a genre platforming is, this game should be like one of the top iPhone games. At least it is to me, and I sincerely hope you made some decent profit on this game, it's well deserved. I hear people say they hate Rolando all the time. I didn't like it at first either, but I didn't give it a fair shot. It really is an ingenious and well designed game. Here's a post I wrote about it if you're interested, but don't let people saying that they don't like it deter you. It's a good game that just didn't appeal to certain people for whatever reason.
Rick Rocketson is pure retro gaming awesomeness And Rolando is fantastic, just very different. It's a rather slow strategic game. Somehow I find it really funny, that we are discussing very long about some games with prices like a joke. Normally, you should get all the games mentioned in here and you wouldn't be disappointed. They are not expensive!
Yeah I know... but for some reason i feel guilty whenever i buy something and never end up playing it... THen I see some game i wish i had bought instead... But anyway, this thread is very helpful/interesting to see what people like in platformers! I just hate wasting money
Regarding Bounce On, I tried the lite back when I first got my ipod. I remember thinking it was very fun and well put together, but at the time I was simply going through all the freebies out there to get an idea what I liked on my ipod. I kind of forgot about it but will maybe look at the lite version again now that I have a lot to compare it to.
Bounce On has 5 worlds, it'll take ages to finish the game. If challenge and length is what you are looking for, you can narrow your search down to Soosiz, Bounce On and Archibald.
I totally agree with this. Bounce On is my favorite game on the iPhone. Soosiz was fun, but I found it pretty repetitive by the end, while, I just enjoyed Bounce On more. The little red ball does have some personality and in fact, just as much as the Soosiz guy who does not have much. The Rolandos have more personality. I think what no one has said is that Rolando does not have much game play and it's pretty easy to get through it. I think the second one took me a couple hours to finish. But I like it, glad I bought it, etc. It's more of a platformer with some puzzle elements to it. The game I come back to is Bounce On over and over again. Hope this helps.
galaxygrrl, that's a really good point you bring up about Rolando. It is pretty easy and not very long. Basically, my first run through a level I'd get all the diamonds and save every Rolando. Then my second playthrough, I'd get the time bonus. Two plays of a level to get gold, that's pretty easy. You'll never do that with Bounce On, guaranteed! Bounce On really rewards you for quick reactions, and discovering the fastest way through a level. You'll be hard pressed to just complete every level anytime soon, let alone getting gold on every one. Not to discount Rolando, there is a lot to be said for the top notch music and personality in that game. And even if it's kind of easy, the levels themselves are cleverly designed enough to make you go "wow" when you figure them out. But in pure content and challenge, Bounce On wins. It's also the one I'll keep coming back to.
get soosiz and bounce on because they're on sale and if you buy both it will cost less than buying 1 later. Wait on rolando because it's still $5 and you will take some time to finish the others.
You can just get Rolando 2 chapter 1 with in app purchases and pay as you go. Once you start playing it though, your going to end up buying all of the chapters because it is so fun . Bounce On is good too, especially at the sale price.
rolando has different gameplay than soosiz and bounce on, but soosiz and bounce on seem to have very similar concepts... Which of soosiz and bounce on have more diverse gameplay and which is more challenging? THanks!
Recently I been caught off by Chop Chop Ninja. I am not the kind of person who enjoy platformers. This makes a good exception for me with its unique and fun controls. Visuals are really nice in its own too.
Chop-Chop Ninja is surprisingly very good! I don't know why no one has ever mentioned it before!! The controls are very good and I really enjoy the fighting mechanism too, a lot better than Tap-Fu!! Too bad I'm not a big fan of the art style. It's a subjective thing though, and the game itself is really great. They should spend a bit more money on marketing so websites like TA, pocketgamer and slidetoplay care to write about it.
I think people will disagree on this and you can argue either side. That said, I think Bounce On hands down. To me, I found -- the worlds much more diverse on Bounce On -- the secrets much more fun to find on Bounce On -- I like the timer and gold metals on Bounce On I go back and play Bounce On over and over again. I finished Soosiz and I was done with it. To be honest, you wont be bummed with either. I do think you will find the short game play on Rolando kinda of a bummer.
Do you really need 8 pages of discussion to make a $3 decision.... everyone has told you their opinions of all the games mentioned and then some, plus they've provided detailed answers to specific questions and you are still asking these ridiculous questions 80 posts into it!? It's silly if you ask me. I wouldn't want to go out to lunch with you that's for sure
