Meh, screw the "no match 3's" rule. Only people that don't know how to play them don't see them as puzzle games. More advanced users often need to use careful thinking to set up impresive chain reactions, planning several moves in advance to get the pieces into advantageous locations... it's basically like, y'know, doing an actual jigsaw puzzle. Plus Mew2468's Ultimate Puzzle thread has a bunch. Rant over, I'm sticking one in but you can ignore it if you want. 1. PathPix 2. Actually match 3 games are great, but there are so many of them that they should get their own listing category. They've almost become their own seperate genre.
That's exactly what I had planned. In fact, I'll lay it down now. After this category, we're doing match 3 games. Also, I'm afraid drop 7 doesn't count either. Numbers and word puzzles will get a separate category too.
I added a section on the main page detailing what games will NOT be allowed so that people won't waste votes. Keep voting there's still a day and a bit!
I think the voting should be separate threads for each genre, and you can compile a "top" list when your done...once you have more than 2 genres, it will be totally impossible to find people's comments on particular genres. I dont have many puzzle games, so will only vote for one, Unblock Me Lite. Considerings its free, has 600 puzzles, and I really enjoy it.
There aren't really many comments made. It's mostly votes. So I see no reason to create multiple threads.
For some reason I like seeing the various lists everyone puts in...but on thinking about it more, your pretty much right. I dont know what seeing the lists really does apart from seeing the total vote!
