Hey guys, I'm planning on getting an iPhone 3GS next week (significant upgrade from my iPhone 2G), and I really need a good sturdy case that will protect the phone. Don't really care if it's bulky, just need one so that my phone's screen doesn't crack.
It may not be the best, but I have an incase slider and it works fine. I have dropped it multiple times twice on pavement to no issues and only a few scratches on the case.
I use the iSkin Revo2 for my 3GS - it's slightly bulky but it definately keeps the phone scratch free http://www.iskin.com/revo2_overview.html
Get this. It's unbelievable, I have the iPod Touch version and it rocks. Very, Very, protective and slim. Adds no bulk at all. http://www.switcheasy.com/products/Rebel/Rebel.php?color=tiger
Otterbox Defender. Great case. Good deal. Very durable. http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Semi-Rugged-Defender-iPhone-Yellow/dp/B001KQFGTI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1252870899&sr=8-5 You could also get it in black and pink.
THIS... Seen it in action when my friend dropped his on the concrete into a small puddle... It was perfectly fine!
I had an incase slider. I say had because i dropped my iPhone from about 4 1/2 feet and it landed on asphalt. Nothing happened to my iPhone 3GS,not even a scratch, yet the case did crack in other words, incase saved my life...er...phone
Ok I think I'm going to get the Rebel Serpent case from Switch Easy. Was thinking about the Otterbox and iSkin Revo2, but the iSkin is a bit too expensive and Otterbox looks a little bit...
If you want style, get this: http://www.speckproducts.com/products/fitted/iphone-3g-iphone-3gs/149 I've been wanting this case ever since it came out. Problem is that I don't have an iPhone 3G/3GS or iPod Touch 2G. Hopefully they'll make a Speck Fitted for the next iPhone (which I'm probably going to get.)
Well not really looking for style, but it has to look decent. Would have taken the Incase Slider, but the front looks way too open.
I just upgraded to 3GS as well and I'm getting the otterbox (not sure which one) at AT&T on Tuesday. It's $50 with 3 layers of protection, screen protecters on the screen and over the speaker, and flaps to protect the plugins so water wouldn't get it them. It goes add bulk to it but people at my school have dubbed it the "indescructible" case.
