Thanks man! I just checked out the Iskandar games and they look awesome. Does Bit-1 have achievements in it because I told myself I was going to limit my intake of games this year, and the easiest way was to cut out games that don't include GC achievements. However, this would be an awesome game to review...AWWW Edit D@mn, I was going to get Buster Red, but it looks as if the game is broken. I'm trying out the lite version of Bit-1 now! Just beat the lite version and now I'm downloading the full version. The game is awesome! I definitely recommend!
@Snooptalian: Thanks for bringing here Commander Pixman But it could be even too retro for someone tastes...
I think it's brilliant!!! Let me know if you ever need any retro sounds / music to go with it! Quad Pong looks great to, good idea!
Maybe with Pixman 2 Psss, Quad Pong is no longer "Pong" since Atari wants to have all pongs o the world
I actually just picked up Commander Pixman. I always seem to be missing the most obvious games to add to my collection. The bad part is that I heard about it a while ago. I guess I just never pushed the buy button and forgot. Edit Hardest game I've played to date when it comes to beating the time. It might have something to do with the controls. The buttons are bit farther apart then what I'm used to. Also, I wish there was an option to make the buttons be side by side. Other than that it's a great game, but I won't be managing any speedruns any time soon.
Wait no one has said Hook Champ, it's one of the all time greats! Go. Buy. Now. (Here's the linky) http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=334626134&mt=8
Yes I know, jetpack jumping comes with the practice, then you could definitely go with some speedruns and collect some stars About controls positioning: Heh this is weird, but I'm a big guy, I mean tall, so I have 'long' fingers, maybe this is the reason I put controls quite a bit farther from each other I need for more betatesters for Commander Pixman 2 later. A little tip: You doesn't need to tap control 'exactly', you can definitely hold your fingers more close to each other, fields of 'sensitivity' are quite big.
Damn really thought the person above was talking sense and then i saw his stupid spam link in his signature - idiot. Anyway as for Battlezone i'll wait to see what Atari does, i hope they do a good job but the Breakout app was very disappointing
Yeah, I've managed to get at least two stars on all the levels I've played so far. That last one is a toughie due to the somewhat floaty (jetpack) controls. The game in general is excellent and a very nice addition to my retro collection. As far as the controls, I think what bothers me the most is that the buttons are diagonal. An option to change that would be awesome. Also, I'd love to help beta test Commander Pixman 2 when the time comes!
I will notice that! I'm thinking about revamping controls a little bit in Commander Pixman 2, including changing controls gfx and placing it straight. What do you think?
Yeah, putting the buttons next to each other would be better IMO. You may want to add it as an option, so you don't upset ppl that like it as is...IDK. Also move the arrows bit closer together. For control gfx, you could maybe use darker or "poppier" colors and turn down the opacity.
@oneminutegames my word on commander pixman. I'd have to agree that the controls are wayy to far apart. But my biggest annoyance is the jumping. It seems like after the first jump motion, you just rocket up really high and it's hard to control. Is this supposed to happen? EDIT: After playing more than 2 levels I have realized that the jumping is fine and works good. Nice game, looking forward to the sequel! I also tried out the lite vision on bit-1. The game is like in slow motion. I'm on a 2G touch. Could this be why? The game is virtually unplayable.
It will have it, can't tell the date now but I'll do it, for sure. @swishinj: Pixman has a jetpack so this is not exactly jumping I need to add some 'jetpack' animation to conclude that!
