Just played a game with music by LMFAO and another by Lil Wayne using two different channels. Considering most people actually have music on their iDevice, I don't know what more you're expecting. This game is under 20 MB and $0.99. My GOTW by far. Four diverse modes, tons of perks, ranking up, many difficulty levels, and full GC integration. Best looking DSS you'll find on the AppStore or Steam for that matter. The game blends bullet-hell with a DSS just as well as CAVE did with M. Bug Panic. Edit: Just caught Kanye and Skrillex on two channels. So much win. It definitely works great with your own music too since that's what it's actually designed for. Played it using songs by Drake and Kanye earlier on insane mode. It's sick. It seems like a pretty great dual (or single) stick shooter, but I cannot figure out how to change the music. When I start the game, it seems to identify that I have about 12,000 songs in iCloud, but when I start a track, all I get is the techno trance stuff that comes with the game. I can't figure out how to get my own music to play and I didn't see an option for internet radio. Neehan Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2010 785 2 18 #10 Neehan, Feb 9, 2012 You need to actually have the songs on your device. I use iTunes Match as well and I can tell you that it is not a streaming music service. When you click the cloud icon in your iPods music player it downloads the song to your device, then plays it from your device. But it downloads first, it does not stream it. So, any song you've actually downloaded to your device from iCloud should show up in the game. Like I said, I use iTunes match and have had no problems getting my library to show up in the game. CzarCastic Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2010 2,164 0 0 Michigan http://www.8bitbrigade.com #11 CzarCastic, Feb 9, 2012 I thought I was using the regular mode, but sure enough, I was able to find the internet radio options with a little more searching. Yeah, but you can listen to songs while downloading. I was hoping you'd be able to manage the downloads while in-game, but it appears that the songs must be downloaded onto your device first. That's a bummer. It's a slight hassle to remember to download stuff before playing the game. I'll probably just use the internet radio options more often. tops2 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2011 2,083 56 48 #12 tops2, Feb 9, 2012 Lol..the menus for this game could use some reworking. Took me a while to figure out the internet radio option (under the manual song selection or whatever thats called). Actually, it took me a few minutes to figure out that the main menu scrolls! I though I was stuck on introduction for a while. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #13 awp69, Feb 9, 2012 Last edited: Feb 9, 2012 This sounds great, but I also am one of those people that doesn't have any music on his iPod Touch. Now that I hear Internet radio is an option, I think I'll have to give it a shot! I have a Rhapsody subscription BTW. Anyway know if the Internet radio option allows you to use it (doubt it but figured I'd ask)? EDIT: Never mind. Got it and Rhapsody obviously isn't an option. I wish there was a way to point it to whatever Internet radio station you wanted. Their selection is obviously fairly limited to what's out there. But I haven't listened to any of them yet so they could be good. Fun game based on just playing once with one of their own tracks. I agree, though, the menus could use some work. morgantj Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2011 230 0 0 Computer Specialist #14 morgantj, Feb 20, 2012 Unlike many others, I think the menu is great and find it very intuitive. I had not trouble using it. I thought it was one of the best ui's I have used for a game on ios. Future updates I would like the ablity to define my own url for an internet station. Also, since this is a universal app, I would like my achievements, progress, unlocks, etc... to be synced between my iphone and ipad via the icloud. Also, some new enemies and more custom ship options would be cool. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
