Thank you. I'm willing to lose my saves though. I only finished one campaign and some of the campaigns are close to done. But if i could do it before, i could do it again.

Also, since i bought it, it's free if i re-download right?

Yes, iTunes remembers what you have purchased on their servers... So as long as you use the same account, when you click on the buy button and enter your password, it will tell you that you are getting it for free.

Oh, yeah saved games are lost if you delete the app! :( It only works if you do a full restore, which is odd because it obviously saves your user data...

It's still worth it. Now more content for my vacation. :D

I thought of a possible solution. The problem is i don't think it will work. If my concept of Wesnoth Sync is correct, then i can sync my saves, delete, reinstall, and sync again. Is that possible?

Yes, but I thought you could not even launch the game? If you can make it to the main menu, then you can upload all your saved games to the wesnothsync.com server, and download again when you reinstall

Aww. Well it's okay then. I will give it a while and then delete, then reinstall.

Hmmm unfortunately it's how it's done (by Apple) since the beginning.
It's a MAJOR drawback imho, because you cannot delete an app from the phone just to reinstall it later, because you loose every progress you made.
A full restore cannot help if you backed up the device more than once, because you can only restore the last one (wich is without the data, if you previously deleted the app).
Apple could easily resolve the matter just keeping save datas in the computer (not only in the backup) but seems uninterested.
I cannot temporarely delete Wesnoth (not that I want) from my iPhone for, let's say, a month and then re-sync it because I would lost every progress made.
That's even more frustrating for already finished games I want to delete...what if a new DLC come in the future and I want to replay it?
It's simple not possibile...you have to keep everything on the phone.

The only warkaround is to save games on the cloud (must be supported by the app) or maybe using the 'data portion' of the device wich is coming in OS4...assuming the dev plan to do savegames as files that can be sync-ed with the app (like word documents on Pages on the iPad).

Yeah, I think that's pretty lame. Actually, app management with itunes is pretty poor in general.

Hey Kyle, really enjoy the new update, it loads much faster and the scrolling is smoother on my 3G. One possible bug: It seems that my Help screen is no adding the new units that either get discovered or upgraded. Working on the South Guard campaign and have a Royal Guard, Master Bowman and various undead critters that are not showing up. I like to check the in-game manual from time-to-time to look up stuff.

I would like an in-app map editor :D. Is that what people use to make their own campaigns on their computers?
