NOPZ is a second game set in the BB world. It's not quite a sequel, not quite a prequel, not quite an equal, but more of a zequel. If you don't know what a zequel is, then you can't afford it. Actually it might be a sequel. I'm not big on labels. But it is indeed a seperate game from BB 1.5, and today marks the first day that Lt. Action is going to spew forth the first chunks of information on NOPZ so that it may be easily digested by us baby birdies.
Ah I can't wait, it is also 1:30am here. So excited I want to grab my old teddy from the closet out to hug asleep tonight. May Thursday be filled with exciting news.
I agree with you. Prequels and sequels have been done before (and after), there needs to be a new spin on sequential releases. Brequel sounds the most exciting. I'd like to think it's like a sequel, but with bros. Instead of armor and magic you have Ed Hardy t-shirts and tribal tattoos. Your special move is a keg stand and your underlying ability is homoeroticism. And you can melee with your faux hawk. Basically, Jersey Shore in a BB game. I can't imagine the fine folks at SkyVu aren't envisioning this exact thing, but the financial load and artistic finesse required to pull off such an endeavor may be too great for them to bear at this juncture. Maybe for the zequel. For now, all we really know is that NOPZ contains "bears in space" in some fashion, and of course we know that it will rule:

I dare say you are correct in that a studio as fledgling as ourselves would not be able to afford such a title, however, we have failed to consider the very state of the title itself beyond release. There is no way for us to guarantee that, once out on their own, the AI programed Bros won't accidentally choke to death on their own popped collars, swallow the toxic dye that colors their pink polos, lock themselves out of their car and die of starvation in a grocery store parking lot or accidentally impale themselves on any given hairstyle showcased on "The Jersey Shore". The risk to the consumer and to the game itself is far too great. No one would dare attempt such an undertaking.
