Flick a ball through 40 levels of a giant machine in a unique steampunk inspired puzzle experience.

Use your wits in combination with pieces of the machine that speed you up, slow you down or blow you clear across a level as you guide the ball through the depths of the machine.

Backlash features a highly-detailed environment, challenging levels, crisp and realistic artwork wrapped in a challenging single-player experience. Try to outsmart the machine’s internal security system as you figure out the least amount of bounces to the goal in Challenge Mode or learn the levels at your own pace and have fun messing around in the aptly named Free Play.

Original game music graciously provided by Chemtrail

    Features:
    1. 40 Unique Levels
    2. Challenge Mode with cumulative scoring
    3. Free Play
    4. Realistic ball physics
    5. Unique steampunk environment
    6. Music by Chemtrail

Looks awfully like ragdoll blaster 2, is there anything that sets it aprt from rb2?

Sinecure Industries is the developer and I have no idea what that other thing is.

It's nothing like it whatsoever. You're in direct control of the ball, you flick it as opposed to launching to the goal. You have one ball. The environmental hazards are different, there isn't a gravity issue (it's drag/collision physics based) and... yeah. No flying little guys either.

They have a brass cannon as what launches their guys, we have exhaust vents that are sort of the same color but have a different function.

So everything sets it apart. We'll have a gameplay video soon!

    When is it coming out?

You should make some kind of leveling system. I want to find a game on the iPhone that is as addictive as COD4 or other games with those kind of constant rewards systems that make me want to just keep going after the next challenge.

Though this might not be the best kind of game for that type of system.

Thanks! One half of Sinecure Industries works as a graphic designer

We're "Waiting for Review" as of Sunday, so as soon as that's done I'll have a firm release date for you.

That would be cool in a game, just lots of awards and challenges. Once we go up to 4.0 we'll do the new Apple system with achievements and whatnot but I don't know about a leveling system. We DO have a game in production that does have levels and all that fun stuff, but it'll be a while!

Thanks! I'll be working on a gameplay video this weekend with a few of the levels

One thing that intruiged me in the video you posted was that the ball seemd to stutter on the edge of the hole you were aiming for. Is this intentional? This to me this looks rather odd, but there may be reasoning for this.

This game looks pretty dang good. I love the steampunk visuals. The soundtrack to the vid sounds cool, too. Not sure if the ST was a sampling of the game tracks. However, the animated 3D clockwork background adds panache to what looks like a fun game with some outstanding eye-candy for users to behold. Great job! I'd love to review/buy this app. Me love some phyzix!
