I've been wondering about this game as well. It must have been rejected, because it's been over a month since it was submitted.
About time to ask again, what happened to this gem? My "dollar I've been saving for Astral" has slipped out of my hands a few times now...
darnit, I got all excited seeing activity in the thread...was hoping for an "it's been submitted" message or something
Somehow I had missed this thread entirely and never heard of Astral before. Today, I find the thread, become enthralled by the gameplay video, hungrily read the thread, see it's been submitted only to find that that was too long ago for the game to not be released yet and then a string of "what happened to this" posts with no developer response. Now I'm sad. Oh well. Back to work. Q
Sorry to get anyone excited by bumping the thread, but this is just about the best abandoned game I've ever seen on here. Does anyone know the developer at all or know anyway of getting in contact with him/her? I've tried extensively to no avail.
Hey guys, I had no idea anyone was still waiting for this until I got an email message from doodlejumper yesterday. I am seriously sorry to have kept you all waiting! Long story short, I wasn't really happy with the game and cancelled it at the last second. Anyway, seeing as you guys are still interested, I'll commit to releasing the game again. I'm going to take a couple months to (hopefully) make some major improvements -- it's been over a year since I last worked on it, so I think I can bring a fresh perspective to it. If that doesn't pan out, I'll still release the game in its original form with some minor enhancements. And I'll keep you guys updated. Promise!
Damn, I have been waiting forever for this game.. I personally think that the previous version looked pristine, and I am not sure how you could not be happy with it. If you believe it needed some improvements, then I cant wait to see what you do with it.
