Not really. He could have had some screen recording crap going on for all we know. It'll run perfectly on iPhone 5
We don't have any iPhone 5's in our office so I won't be able to do that I'm fairly certain you should be able to run A8 on it without issue though.
It may have not been the most up to date version, that's always a possibility. We have had a variety of builds up until this point.
Iphone 5 runs smooth. Only problem I noticed is strangely enough some slow down in the environment when counting down to a race. Ipad Mini is having a tough time, but you hardly ever notice when playing. But looking at someone else play, you tend to focus on the stuff around the player, and that isn't as smooth at times. Especially if you have seen it run on iPad 4, where it is gorgeous. I do wish however that Gameloft would provide graphical settings for users like Riptide 2, so you could prioritize frame rate over graphical effects if you wanted on older devices.
I wanna know how it runs on an ipad 3, and if it is ipad retina, and if so, what graphical features are not on, and how framerates are compared to the ipad 4 version. This may determine whether I buy an ipad 5 or not.
Crashes really look impressive, can't stop staring at them. So much detail But, this is my new favorite pic just gorgeous to look at About Gameloft A8 giveaway: One person already won it, but that was region restricted. @Leegames I enjoyed reading your review & thanks for the info. Hopefully ,when the time comes you will do MC5 to In iMore's video framerate looked stable, and that was on iPad 2. @Connector Thank you for the invite, I registered
Thank you, Connector. A simple response like this is all i was asking. I've been through this thread (not every single page, mind you), so i've seen the countless posts by Lee and Ryan- just was wondering how it looked in person. Again, thanks.
Rip73 thanks for the kind words. Same to you Sicksilvo. This has been a fun thread so far. Looking so much forward to hearing what you think of the game. And how it runs on iPad 3 since that's the only one I haven't tried.
I am pretty sure that I'll rate it as the best iOS action game of all times. (That's easy because I rated almost all other Asphalt versions before like this.) As soon as I can download A8 I'll test it on iPad 1 (A7 runs pretty good on iPad orig.), iPad 3, iPad 4, iPhone 3G D), iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.
Seems like game companies are getting better at compressing graphics assets, especially considering that these games are universal with ipad retina too. Nice that RR3 and A8 are not over 2 gb, really nice.
