Okay sorry everyone. Next time I have a question I will make sure to use the thread dedicated to that certain game.
Also pleased to see that we finally got real shadows casting from the cars that are determined by light sources instead of the terribly fake looking ones from A7 and 6. Visually this looks similar to NFS, though dare I say I might like the style of NFS a bit better - it has a more realistic look and maintains it beautifully throughout, while A8 has a more vibrant palate that certainly looks interesting, but also slightly cartoony. I'm not sure I like the light noise effects; they can be rather obnoxious if overused. One thing A8 really has going for it is variety. That's (and lack of MP) is the one thing I was truly disappointed in with NFS. Yup. If you already haven't, I advise you to subscribe to the game threads you're interested in, that way you won't have to search for them each time you have a question or want to see what's going on.
So we are still mum on a release date, either this is going to be a stealth launch or it's not coming this Thursday. I would think GL would want to have an announcement of some kind about the release.
You are most welcome on this thread if you have something about A8! So is there any release confirmation?I chevked the web but couldn't find anything!
No it doesn't. It's been made out as something it isn't. There is no concept. It's just a ghost lap. It's been around for over a decade. Only this time, it's a laggy, slightly interactive one from someone else online. How is it any different than NFS's speedwall. It's just a lap time. I said this earlier. I hate asphalts neon colors. I prefer NFS's look too. The thing about NFS, though, is it doesn't have near as much going on. It's practically on rails. Small, simple tracks. With everything A8 is, it's visuals are far more impressive. It's lighting and colors that I dislike so much are actually amazing in comparison. The vibrant, interesting, cartoony look is exacrly what they're going for anyway, I don't think anything is actually overused. Plus, A8 is just a way more complete game.
Yes but you can in theory interact with the ghost. That's pretty neat, even if it isn't executed perfectly. That new light lense-flare noise effect, similar to what we saw in batman, mc4 and battlefield 3 can get really annoying if overused. Not saying it is here, but it was in batman and bf3. That's unfortunately true.
On the release date questions, its worth noting the developer website is still down. This will cause issues with planned releases, mainly releases that were not approved prior to six days ago. Or for those who expected approval but hadn't inputed a release date. And even when it goes back up, there will be some delays with approval and release catch ups. Expect some delays basically. This won't apply to all releases just those in a certain category. It also doesn't mean it applies to this one. But it probably does.
So basically, my ghost can get beat around, spun out, and basically ****ed with, but I can't do anything about it...
I have to go with KJ on this one. It might work for real racing (or not), but for an arcade racer focused on taking down opponents, I'm not going to trust an AI to ram my opponent into submission.
It doesn't. What's involved in maintaining a good RR3 lap time is as important as the ramming in A8. Both impossible for a bot.
Guys I don't want to go off topic but in App Store at racing games section the wallpaper belongs to which game? I think I have played this kind of game but don't remember it!
Russia's first supercar Marussia B2 will be in the game.Lamborghini Veneno, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FXX & Pagani Zonda R. we knew. Info
