It's likely that this game will be released tomorrow. From twitter: @gameloft could we get a hint to what the first gift is tomorrow? @Adeeb246 Hint? Vroom vroom.
unless EA surprises the entire world tonight and completely breaks their habit, BB2 is not coming out in november. Most likely december or late to early jan and feb. OR even next winter....cause thats how they role.
Highly unlikely as the app calendar is gonna be for free games etc...more likely a FREE copy of Asphalt 5 ...but you never know...Asphalt 6 FREE on day 1 of app calendar
Aha, clever Toady , or silly WunDaii. I too thought it would release tomorrow, but I guess it'll be A5.
I dunno, I think there's probably a better chance of it being A4, as Gameloft loves to only give away the oldest ones for free.
Asphalt 4 is terrible. I know it's really old, but still wtf. I can literally leave my ipod on the table, and the car will start, go, turn when a wall comes, and win the race without me even touching the ipod. Asphalt 5 had decent responsive controls that didn't play the game for you, but terrible graphics and too-arcadey gameplay.
When I play Asphalt, I think Cruisn' the USA. I'd like to think Burnout, but I don't. I agree. The main issue with Asphalt is that it IS too arcade-y. I know it's an arcade racer as opposed to being a sim racer, but the arcade elements are simply too over the top. I wish they would tone it down a little in that department, but I seriously doubt that they will. If you want to go all-out arcade, like Asphalt seems to want to do, then you need arcade tracks, like in those Cruisn' the USA or Cruisin the World games, where they are racing through Area 51 and eventually an actual UFO, or the underwater race track where you are driving through Atlantis. There was one arcade racer, California something, where you are racing on top of a rollercoaster. That's what I expect from a true hardcore arcade racer. Asphalt plays like an arcade flashback, but uses realistic cars and tracks. Those two elements really don't mix.
California speed!! Asphalt was good for the first 2 games or so, then it got very repetitive and boring, i mean i could pretty much drift a complete race with the Helicopter and cops, etc, on the DS like nothing. i never really got to try the Ios Asphalts, because i lost interest, and thx to firemint and the upcoming RR2 i dont think i will ever will... BTW, now i want a Cruisin'/California speed port for the iPhone
More news on Asphalt 6 from PGUK The first thing that jumps out is the lack of virtual buttons. The right side of the screen is devoted purely to nitro, and the left for brakes. This new set-up means that more of the screen is dedicated to the new 3D engine, which looks a leap ahead of the previous games blocky graphics. In terms of new features, Asphalt 6 comes with an Adrenaline mode that acts like a boost and leaves a blue neon trail behind your vehicle, making everything look very Tron in the process. The vehicles (fully upgradable and customisable with paint and decal) can be selected via a traditional menu, as well as a new virtual garage that can be navigated via gyroscope and accelerometer, letting you walk around and marvel at your virtual possessions. The game comes with 55 events spread across 11 leagues and 12 tracks. Races include familiar game types like Race and Time Attack, as well as the new Beat em All mode, which plays out much like Burnouts Road Rage mode, in which you ram opponents cars off the track. There's six-player online multiplayer with an RPG-like progression system and all events accessible from the start, all integrated with the latest version of Gameloft Live.
That sounds amazing. I can't wait to see what the graphics look like with their new engine. And the garage that lets you walk around (stolen from Test Drive Unlimited) will be cool.
Any news of a part 2 to GT Motor Academy? I understand Gameloft is trying to keep up with the NFS goodness, but SHIFT was one of the greatest sims of all times. GL needs to give the sim fans some love too!
Seeing all this info and screen shots leaves me with some anticipation for the game. Been playing A5 recently (for the first time) and I like the variety it brings in the game. (compared to others) My spider senses are tingling......must purchase when it comes out.
