The rogue can use stealth to sneak up on enemies. You can also apply poison to your weapon or weapons. Yes, the rogue can dual wield (so can the warrior). Right now the rogue doesn't have traps, but the Ranger does have a poison spike trap. Anyone can steal in the sense they can either pick locks, bash locks, or cast open lock on chests, but if someone sees you then you will be marked as an outlaw. What do you all think about rogue pick pocketing skill? That would be relatively easy to add and it would be unique to the rogue class.
Pick-pocketing would be cool. Would definitely bring me back to my old AD&D days -- that was my favorite thing to do with thieves.
I definitely agree on adding a pick pocketing skill to the rogue class! Makes me remember the good ole days of playing Wizardry 6..."thief hides in shadows...critical HIT!!" good stuff indeed!
+1 to the pickpocketing, loved using that in the D&D video games Also, I think that rogues should be able to open locks without being seen by someone more easily than the other classes, just to make them more steath-like.
Can't say for sure yet. We are still working as hard as we can on the game trying to make sure it reaches its full potential. Thanks everyone for your support and interest, it has really been a great motivator! I think I can say now that rogue pickpocketing is going in!
I haven't read any of the previous posts so sry if this has been answered, but is there any estimates on a price yet?
It will be priced around similar games in the Appstore, example Ravensword is currently $4.99 so expect around that
Been watching this thread from the begining n having both morrowind and oblivion being my favorite games I cannot wait to get this one! Anyway was just wondering how's the controls do they feel nice and smooth, and does everything interact well together? I agree pick pocketing def should be in ther I love making bow classes thieves also do you do more damage when sneaking? Huge oblivion fan lol anyway just wanted to post to say you guy have been doing an outstanding job, and thank you sooo much for bringing this game to the iPhone
Believe me, we are looking forward to getting it into your hands! Most of the beta testers have found the controls smooth and very playable. I'll let them chime in on this. Yes, the pickpocketing skill will be a fun one to have in the game! Yes, the rogue's backstab ability only works when sneaking, and it based on your skill level it will give you 2x, 3x, or 4x damage and stun your opponent, making them vulnerable to a follow-up attack. Thanks! We are very excited about the game and continuing to work hard on it.
Ok first of all I'm going to guess you have never tried to make an iPhone game, and like everyone else convenietley forgot that this is a game for a phone so that you can voice your complaint. It is not a matter of not being able to do great graphics it's a matter of the platform not being able to handle it. With a huge open world, I'm excited to see how they are going to pull it off.
Ok make a better looking open world game with the amount of depth and features that this one has, once you do I'll buy it
This is a question for the dev... Will you update the game with content after it's release. Maybe mini quests or another village or more people. I know this doesn't make sense but I was just wondering. -thanks
Hey, it totally makes sense! Yes, I think we would plan to add some kind of post-release bonus content. Can't say for sure what it would be at this point. We'd also eventually like to release a full sequel to the game and keep on building the world's story.
hey i was wondering if it was possible if you could post some screenshots of the geography of the world - like a screenshot of a town or city, or a forest. Im interested in the design of the world - i love free roam games
