Woah, Crescent Moon Games was in this one too?! Sick! I just saw the article on the front page, and I was really surprised. It was a really fun game... I'm going to try to play the beta build some more before the full game comes out.
OH MY GOSH!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE EPIC!!! I CANNOT SAY HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS GAME!!! I THOUGHT IT LOOKED GOOD BEFORE BUT WITH THE PEOPLE FROM CRESENT MOON GAMES WORKING ON IT, I CANNOT WAIT FOR SOME SCREENSHOTS!!!! P.S. I don't know if you can tell from the above, but I'm really excited EDIT: And now I'll never be able to focus on the rest of my school work But this news is worth it
I thought this looked good and would be an instant purchase for me after hearing a few first impressions. I figured that what this game needed was a major level of polish and graphic improvements to be more than an admirable effort. Since all of that is being added, this should be the best iPhone RPG released yet. This is a pretty nice surprise. Who would have expected a great developer to improve what looks to be amazing game (that previously was seriously lacking in the graphics department)?
It didn't look that bad in action. It's just that the screens didn't do it justice. When you're playing it on your iPod, it looks better, although I agree it could have used some polish. I can't wait to see what it looks like with help from Crescent Moon.
Hey everyone, We are thrilled to be working with Crescent Moon Games to bring Aralon to its full potential! Thanks everyone for your interest in the game. Stay tuned for more info in the days ahead . . .
I think there should be no blood in it. Becuase not very many people say I HATE THAT GAME THERE IS NO BLOOD but you will lose some buyers for having blood becuase some people do hate games becuase of the blood. try to leave it out please
Does that mean that it wont be coming this spring? cause i've seen the date on the first post has changed from spring to sometime in 2010 ?
It wasn't during the beta at all. I don't even remember any blood at all... and I didn't even care... now that's a good game! There might be minimal amounts, like in Ravensword, which can probably be turned off, but it's not going to be like Mortal Kombat or Dishwasher: Dead Samurai where a ton of blood goes flying whenever you hit someone. Oh, Seo, it'll probably be delayed, but I'm not sure how long. The game was completed, but now they have an expert helping them do a complete overhaul of the graphics. So all of the gameplay is done, but they're going to have to redo the graphics. I'm not sure how long it'll take, but I'm guessing a month or two.
The front page said that the developers expect another four months of work to go into the game, so we're looking at an August release for Aralon. When did Crescent Moon contact the developers of Aralon with their interest in overhauling the game?
Well, a while back, while this was still pretty unknown, they had signups for the beta on this thread. A lot of developers will do that, or ask people who are closely following a game to test.
Its been in the last few weeks that we've had been in talks with Galoobeth Games, and yesterday we signed the contract to overhaul the graphics for the game. We were extremely impressed with the depth of game play, size of the world (Its mega huge compared to Ravensword) and just decided to contact them about a possible collaboration. This game is sort of what people were wanting out of Ravensword 1, and of course, our collaboration with these guys, Dicework Games (Rimelands) will help us build a bigger, badder Ravensword II.
Even though I love this new partnership, it seems a bit weird to me because I saw Ravensword as the only competitor to Aralon in the App Store. To me it's kinda like Microsoft helping Sony make a HALO like game. I do remember a post a while back though when Josh said that they had like 6 different cities ready for Ravensword II. I can easily see you guys using one of them. Just to say though, I'm still excited!
this sounds simply awesome i am really looking forward to the day when all this great RPG“s will release
