This game is only playable when having the ipad lay down on a table. Plus then still, the fire button is crap. I cant shoot enemys without swimming towards them. I have alot of ipad games, and of all at least 100 games duke nukem 3d got most crap controls, and after that id say this game got the most shit controls.... I made this topic as warning, and hopefully to get attention from the developer who ported this over. I tried their forums but get a error when trying to register(with their stopid register questions).
Touching the screen and holding(and tapping on the screen edges) and the character moves that direction...thats just stopid! An virtual stick would be 100 times better solution, and a proper target system would also be needed. I cant shoot enemys. If i do not want to get hurt i need to evade, not attack. If i attack, i will have a guarantee of getting hurt as well. It again just doesnt work.
I find the controls very intuitive. Speaking only for myself of course, I find that the controls are one of the main things that make Aquaria unique in its on right and I have no problem with how they are as is. Sure a virtual dpad/stick is always welcomed to give more control options, but I strongly believe it would then make Aquaria less of a challenge. I can respect the op's frustrations though...
Lol i agree that better controls will make it less then a challenge. So everyone should put in crappier controls just to put up the challenge? Imo, this is a wrong argument^^
