Halloween's just around the corner, and this time of year takes a close second to being my "favorite time of the year" right after Christmas. My personal favorites: Games Mystic Emporium Undoubtedly my favorite time-management, Diner Dash-style game. You're a shop owner who needs to brew different types of creative potions to sell to your 'unique' clients. Fun as hell, keeps you on your toes and is highly enjoyable... give it a whirl! Solomon's Boneyard The game's lighting and atmosphere is what got me more than anything else... great gameplay and fun to boot. Do check it out - well worth your time. The Mist Based on S.K's short story, the movie was fantastic!. The Shining Best of the best...
iOS Aftermath: easily the scariest shooter in the App Store, especially after the most recent update. 1112 Ep 3: The whole series is great, but Ep 3 got to me unlike any other game since Silent Hill 2. Beyond creepy. Movies The Thing (the original one, directed by John Carpenter): Still holds up as one of the scariest and most inventive horror films ever made. Audition (dir Takashi Miike): A sick, disturbing film that's like a romantic comedy gone horribly wrong. And, of course, The Shining.
