    I'm sorry, I made a mistake ;)

the correct name was "A Foxy French Maid" - http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=315823678&mt=8

    other games by same company:
    Amateur Bikini
    A Naughty Nurse
    Coed Spring Break ^^
    Corvette Girls
    A Bad Cop
Calendar Studs (that's "action" for girls)

they all have Photography as a primary category, but I've seen at least 3 of them on top of Action new releases...

Well, maybe some teenagers will find some personal touch action with that, but that doesn't really follow apple's "moral standards", does it ?

I just moved my app away from entertainment due to all the crap at the top. Nudy and gunshot apps. Can't compete with that nor do I want to make one.
It should be like craigslist where you try and post the same add (or app in our cases twice/reskinned) You can't for a period of time. There would be no way to regulate that tho.

    "removed wrong quote"

I think the answer is for Apple to improve the store search and give us better filtering tools.

I agree with Rad, having only 3 semi-useful sorts (name, most popular, release date) is a big problem. IMO there should be at least a few more ways of sorting applications.

while I absolutely agree that soring on itunes is just BS, I dont think even the best sorting would help here...

it's a bit like a huge supermarket - people are buying what they see on the shelves. not on the bottom or very top - just what's in front of their eyes. problem is with visibility and no amount of sorting can really alleviate that... sorting is a good think for people who are searching, but it looks like the vast majority of the crowd just gets what they can see and doesn't bother searching

don't get me wrong - I would use sorting, you would use sorting, lots of people would. but that would still be only a fraction of customers, so ultimately - no real change

even for the most popular sort.. they should let us enter a page number. I know kinda weird. This would mostly help devs see where they rank possibly.

For some reason, Apple posts their recently released in alphabetical order (after the reverse sort by day). So, you can get a few more hours on the front page by having an app start with 'A'. There may be other places this matters. Apple should just start doing a reverse sort alphabetically ;)
