      I've just read on Gizmodo that the next Apple os 4 event is coming on April 8.

      Do think it's real?

      Credit really goes to Arn on this, MacRumors will really only ever post "rumors" that haven't been thoroughly vetted if they're getting a lot of chatter from other sites... and then they often come with a hefty warning about how it's not likely true. :D

      Lemme guess, I have to pay £50000 for an update because I have an iPod touch and am not a valued customer.

      I don't get why they're doing this because they just released the Ipad, surely they want to continue the hype train on that. All this does is swipes the Ipad under the rug and now everyone talks about the Iphone. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with that cause the Ipad is a waste of time, just don't understand it.

      I hope it delivers cause this is make or break for me with the Iphone. I'm sick of not being able to organise my Desktop on the Iphone and sick of not being able to change text tones. Just so many things you can't do and I can't take pics at night or view flash sites etc etc.

      There's not much reason to think the iPad won't get a software update at the same time. They have to announce things like this early because they now have tens of thousands of third party developers who need to know what is in the pipeline.

      Maybe it will let us have custom backgrounds, I hope. If it does I won't hesitate forking over whatever price they are asking.

      I honestly care more about the icons and some type of organization with them (Folders?) then I do multi-tasking... is that weird? :confused:

      not really. as Mr. Eli Hodapp said in an iPad thread, If its a smart/good app at all, then it should have auto saving. why do you need multitasking really? All you have to do is click the home button, go back, click the new app, click home, and keep switching. It may not be as convenient as on your DESKTOP, but on a 13' LAPTOP, you have to switch between windows, because they would be to small!

      but, organization is key :D
