why and dude everybody has a family to spend time with. They aren't slaves or servants. Everybody wants to get off at holidays and how about you having to spend the holidays at work. Now I know why Apple keep their review process slow.
I'd work holidays if there was a shift differential in pay as I've done this before. Less people at work and less micromanagement because managers and supervisors would be salaried and would never dare volunteer to work a holiday. If there wasn't a shift differential, then no but in the grand scheme of things holidays are just another day, really.
As a dev, I would like my apps approved as soon as possible, but the people who review games are very busy and if they don't get time to spend with their families they will probably be hard on us and reject everything for even smaller things than they do right now.
That's what consumer wants but I doubt if you'd like that if you were working there aren't you? Don't you want to get a beer or have some barbecue on 4th of July?
You can't treat them like robots. They have personal lives (hopefully) as well and can't be working to get another slide puzzle app out on Christmas.
The problem isn't that they work or don't work on holidays. There is something not working very well even on normal working days. It takes longtime in any season of the year. There are devs that wait sometimes even 6 weeks to get their updated app approved.
They eventually have to go back to their censor-loving, oppression filled, communist families. They're people, they deserve breaks from playing the most wretched games in the video game industry along with crappy apps.
