Why is there no proper queue or line for developers? My update for Sparta has been in review for 3 weeks today, I believe.
I wish I knew their approval process and pipeline. It would help out a lot. Im in the dark right now of where my game stands in the line.
My 3.0 framerate fix for Zombieville was just approved today, after 3 weeks. Hopefully this will pass soon, and we'll be back to roughly 1 week turnarounds, but I suspect it will take many weeks still before the backlog is taken care of.
That is great to hear! I set my release date to Jul 6th. So if its 2 weeks as planned then it will be released by Jul 6th. But I have a feeling it might be another week after that.
Hi Mika, What have you done (in general) for fixing the framerate issue? Where is the problem in this for 3.0?
for the update of the payed app it was 2 weeks (AClapBoard), the lite version is still in the pipeline (submitted at the same date getting into 3rd week) -- maybe they sort the Apps by lite etc ? My new game (Planex) is now going to 6 days (hope it does not take too long)....
It was an issue caused by how the compressed audio was handled in prior versions of the Unity engine, which I used to develop Zombieville. It was a method that was fine in 2.2.1 and earlier, but caused noticeable choppiness under 3.0 since Apple apparently jerked around how audio works pretty significantly. This was fixed in an update to Unity between when I last updated Zombieville and the release of 3.0 to the public, so I just recompiled and submitted... sadly what took me 5 minutes to build and test took 3 weeks to be approved. >.<
My first app, 3D Planets ( http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=320254822&mt=8 ) has just been accepted - it took 9 days. Mal
I submitted updates to 2 games and a new app last Thursday. I'm hoping for a week.. one can always dream right? haha
