Anyone seen update approvals take longer than the inital approval of the application?

Add me to the list. Original app took eight days. Update - 11 days and counting...

Edit: Added a "d" to "ad" so that it became "add".

I'm on day 12 now, for two of my Lite version updates, both of which are 3.0 compatibility fixes that passed in under 5 days for my full versions a couple weeks earlier.

I have three updates that are all going on 2 weeks now :( Before I could almost always count on 7-8 days for an update. At least two of these haven't been updated since they started testing on 3.0, so maybe that is holding things back. It's definitely frustrating.

yes very frustrating ! I think the new 3.0 checking increases the time if they dont increase the manpower. probable nearly all aps are resubmitted due to the announcement that non 3.0 compliant apps will be removed from the store ?!
Or is this due to the holidays (2 weeks Pfingsten - I dont know it this is on other countries...). ?

No holidays. From a bit of Googling, Pfingsten seems to be a German school holiday? Sadly I don't think anybody else has this. :( I'd take more holidays. ;)

Edit: forgot to say, I resubmitted a widget, and that is also taking forever to reappear on Apple's site. (How come widgets expire after 6 months anyway? Kind of annoying.)

Pfingsten = pentecost. Christian holiday celebrated in most(?) of Europe at least. As the US is a secular state it is probably not applicable.

The reviewers don't work on weekends right?

There are games approved on Saturday/Sunday, so somebody must be working weekends.

i haven't seen an update to any apps in over a week now.. i'm thinking apple is holding all the new apps/updates until 3.0 officially releases on wednesday

    That could be a possibility.

That explains a lot, you are right, and they might check against the final release of 3.0 already or hold it till then.

This will end up in 100ers of apps at the same time appearing and disappearing quickly on the store front .

Ugh. Hope that's not the case. We submitted our next title last week and I'd hate to see it buried in a crush of crap that was held up.

  18. I have a feeling you're right. I submitted an update for "Mummy's Revenge" 12 days ago, and I have not heard anything. The only idea that makes sense is that Apple is waiting for the launch of 3.0 because there are some incompatibility issues.

/me chimes in... with everyone else.

I submitted an updates for Mouse House and Mouse House lite about 3 weeks ago and still waiting.

Was starting to wonder if apple wanted me t re submit due to some new 3.0 requirement I missed.

Any how /me continues to wait.

Before that all updates were running at exactly 7 days.

I don't think updates are being hold, the approval times are just longer, for whatever reason. Two of our updates were approved yesterday after 18 days (with mail from apple to fix appstore description, 5 days after submit). I didn't check the "qualified on 3.0" checkbox during submit so the updates don't contain "tested on 3.0" next to version number, but work fine on 3.0.
