Waiting on approval for latest version of iNsane Submitted 8/6/09 Got dreaded "requiring unexpected additional time" email 8/13/09 Replied asking what the reason for the delay was on 8/14/09 Got email telling me basically to bugger off. They have no more info 8/17/09 ...... still waiting.
New Games: Monkey Bounce is at 33 Days Space Dock is at 24. I'm afraid we won't be able to keep making games for the platform if these times continue.
Update to existing game: 31 days with no communication, then a rejection email. Seriously, 31 days to wait for a rejection.
We just had a super collider update rejected due to inappropriate keywords. To my knowledge there never any guidelines for what keywords could be. /sigh
Because it's obviously too hard to have a script automatically check your keywords against a blacklist when you attempt to save the information Apple can be so disappointing. For as much as they sing about being #1 for ease of use.. They sure fail pretty miserably at making developer's lives any easier. Hell I've had to use opera while using iTunes connect and the iPhone dev portal for weeks now. Safari just plain doesn't work right. Pictures rendering all scrambled. Half the time if I try to login it says the site is down for maintenance.. Yet Opera has yet to display any of these problems on Apple's own website.
Our app (Nut Chuckin') was submitted on August 19th and approved on SUNDAY August 30th at around 7pm EST which we all thought was kind of bizarre. No problems with our submission.
Darkest Fear finally got updated today it took exactly 18 days from the day we submitted the update. The update to our Lite version even though it was submitted 20 mins after the Full version is still in review. We have noticed they put priority on paid apps versus free ones. Economically you can't blame them there.
We are still waiting for approval of Space Falcon Commander, which was submitted on 14/08. Apple should really improve the approval time. They have billions of $$$, so I'm sure they can afford to hire more workers.
My new app (Germ Warfare) was approved in 9 days (submitted Aug 30, approved Sep 1)... but I've been waiting 2 weeks now for an update of my older apps... maybe they're giving preference to new apps over updates?
Can I recommend you try the calculator app? Aug 30 - Sep 1 is not 9 days 12 days and 11 days for a couple of updates for me now. Hopefully it won't take as long as the update I submitted just before WWDC took.
I wouldn't get your hopes up .... over the past 12 months my updates have been approved in 5 to 10 days max. My previous record was approval for Solitaire City v1.41 which I submitted around WWDC and took 14 days. I attributed that to thousands of developers submitting updates to fix problems with iPhone OS 3.0. Our next two updates after that took around 10 days each and it looked like the clog of 3.0 fixes had cleared but we've been waiting 16 days now for our 1.21 update for 10 Pin Shuffle to be approved and it's still "In Review". So things appear to be getting worse rather than better. Has the entire Apple review staff gone to the beach for a month or are they delaying updates on purpose to deter developers from updating so often ? The most annoying thing is not knowing whether your App has got lost in the system and will never be approved or the magic "Ready for Sale" sign will appear tomorrow. I mean, at what point do you just give up and reject your binary and start the approval process again ? I wish Apple would display a status bar that tells us how many more months we can expect to wait. Incredibly annoying!
There is another factor. There are some devs (that have admitted doing so on other forums) who are submitting identical binaries just so they can update their keywords. Then you have devs who think you have to submit a new binary to have keywords to start with so they will also have submitted new binaries.
Duh, you're right... believe it or not, I was looking at a calendar Meant to say Aug 23 - Sept 1 I wonder if something just got stuck with my updates... maybe I should cancel and try again...
uoload shark's treasure 1.2 update 8-23 ready for sales today but also in that day,I uploaded i.Decide before shark, still in review
Trak4 Lite I sumbitted a 1.1 update to both the paid and free versions of Trak4 on the same day (July 22nd). Trak4 (paid version) has had the 1.1 AND 1.2 updates approved since then. Trak4 Lite is STILL in limbo. This is just about insane. --------------------------------------- Trak4, a unique and challenging puzzle game for the iphone
