Just got a message that our game (Roadkill Cafe) can't be found on iTunes.
Connect doesn't indicate any problems but I can't see it either.

Anyone run into this issue? We do have an update in review, so I was thinking it might be about to get approved and that's the ticket.. but not sure.

    ------
EDIT: Yeargh! That was freaky. Last night I set a release date on the patch, thinking it would be cool to know exactly when it would come out and make the rounds of notifications. Little did I know that it would update the release date on the original SKU as well. I did a little test and discovered that if I change either the main app or the updates release dates it's immediately reflected in the app on the store, so YOINK!
    Lesson learned on that one.

Yeah, you can see that it was the patch date being updated that did it.
    Sneaky, that. :)

Oh cool! So I didn't need to actually set a release date on the application update after all.

Once the update is approved, a button appears in iTunesConnect allowing you to update the app on the store at your leisure.

Ah the joys of being an app store newbie. At least others can read this thread and learn :)

edit: and i learn something again. That's just the same "update application" button that disappeared when I uploaded the update previously. So we don't have any control at all over patch release dates?

    Oh, the insanity! :)

To clarify for you: if you set a future release date on an update then this will also remove your app from the store until that date. However, if you want to be on the new releases list when your update goes live then you'll want to set the release date on the same day that the update goes live.

Of course any release date you set won't make any difference to your approval time. If your app is still in review when your intended release date rolls around then the moment it is approved (say a week later) it will instantly appear on the store but with the release date you had set (i.e. a week earlier). In this case you'll miss the new release list unless you go in and update the release date :)

    Confused? ;)

Actually I get that part :)
It was the lack of control over the publishing the update that was driving me bonkers.

Handily I had logged in earlier today and set the release date to today, so no need to go back and re-date the release :)

Now to see how long it takes from approval to store propagation.
I'm guessing that it will likely appear on the US store first, and then go out from there... but that's wild speculation :)

    This should happen reasonably quickly.
