While your right...Nova/sandstorm offer loads more content, somehow the content just feels....like cardboard. COD has so many amazing subtle touches, that the small amount of content, somehow feels richer, more immersive, and in turn, a lot more fun. I've yet to try Nova, as I found sandstorm terribly shallow and bland. And instead of adding a new game balk about,(you guys would love that huh?) I'm going to wait, and see...perhaps play a lite when available.
ok, hoping see you around soon heh. I won't flame you anymore lol. You can have your own opinions, and I can have mine. But yeah, hoping you get it. In my opinion it doesn't play like sanstorm at all, and yes the multiplayer is great.
CoD doesn't need stance changes or sniping. That's like saying the car in JCS needs rear-view mirrors. What's the point?
Heh heh, maybe it'll be the game to change my mind! Certainly looks cool. Don't hold back on flaming me.....hell I deserve it most of the time
i see where ur coming from, and i hated sandstorm as well. I deleted it the second i played nova. I know CoD is a great came with the one map it came with, but y do they want to charge us more for another map? I think paying 10 bucks was enough.
Yeah $10 is a lot...but we don't know what their going to charge. I may not be so quick to pick it up if it's another $10, but if they're a dollar a pop, I'll take two
I think they needed to gain momentum to get the game going. Sure, it was a lot, but think about it this way. They gave us nearly flawless multiplayer straight from release. There are not performance issues, the graphics are scaled down for the device, as is probably the music, three different adjustable control schemes were added. It's a lot of work that deserves a certain amount of return. Some might think it's worth it, some don't. I think the $10 shows. I'd rather take that than a $5 port with glaring glitches.
Well, I've been playing NOVA and it definetly has competition now... No doubt it's one of the greatest shooters of all time on the iPhone, but NOVA really is close for second. I actually have a hard time choosing, but the multiplayer aspect goes to NOVA for me just because of how well it works and has NO LAG! Maybe when I get a 2/3g it'll be better...
That's the main point tho, cod needs to feel like cod. Not like mc:s or any other fps. The nearest would be a fast action-60fps , with mediocre graphics but with loads of content, good gameplay speed and fun factor. Well tbh I'd like to see a medal of honor or battlefield game on the iPhone. Back to the point, cod without sniping and stance changes(bearing in mind we are talking bout multiplayer fps) is like chips( or fries- as other people say) without ketchup. Sure you can eat and enjoy your chips but there is still a want for that little zing which leaves you unsatisfied.
Hmm, only way I see it, you'd have to get your iDevice jailbroken to play it and I'm not sure if you'd want to do that or not. I'd recommend changing the country in the app store but you'd still need a credit card for that or an itunes card.
I didn't like COD WAW Z. There are too many zombie games out there and while I love it on the console, I think the gameplay was a bit slow and at times annoying on the iDevice. I like the fast pace VS mulrtiplayer of NOVA and Eliminate much better. However, COD online has very little bugs, I'll give you that.
I see what he is saying. COD is Coop and the others are VS. It depends of people like VS or cop better I guess.
I guess your right...I thought this was the "best fps" on the appstore. But looking at the title again, I see what you mean.
