Just got into it last year and here are some pictures I've taken since then

(Btw, this is HDR. Just a warning for the haters. Hopefully I change your mind on the subject)

Links after photo are bigger versions

I've been known to dabble in photography.

Damn Bramsey those are sweet. I'm not into taking photos too much but I do like looking at awesome photos other people have taken. HDR is a tricky one to get right but you've nailed it right there.

Question: do you have them in larger resolutions than what's available on your Flickr? I'd love a couple at 1680x1050 for my desktop.

So are you doing the bracketing of exposures in camera or through post processing?

    Yeah, I am/was into photography - http://fd9z0r.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse

Used a Canon Rebel XT and a high quality macro lense for most of it. Looking back on it now, though, I find that most of my stuff is rather boring. Some of the experiments I did with light turned out really unique.

    In camera.

I find you don't get great results from post-processing bracketing.

Post processing bracketing is useful if you were only able to get one shot, but in camera is going to give better results. Nice HDR shots, I usually hate the effect but done right it can work really well, as shown here.

jlanis86 - those are great shots! I hope you are still shooting because you have a really good eye.

Hello toucharcade by the way, that was my first post! Been sitting on the sidelines for yonks though :)

edit - anders, those are also great! Love the first one (I have a thing for uncluttered photos).

OP - I just looked through your flickr account and you have a real skill with HDR - how do you stop the sky looking 'dirty'?

I have enjoyed photography for some years, but I don't care so much the heavy computer post processing that goes on so much these days. Either you captured it or you didn't. A lens filter is one thing, but the habitual computer post processing and tweaking I never really cared much for.

Good pictures however, thanks for sharing.
