Hey guys, since our last promo code give-away was really good fun, we've decided to shell out another bunch of free download codes for Galaxy on Fire 2 (SD)! Unfortunately, upon delivery the cargo ship that transported them got attacked by space pirates and not the codes are shattered all over our Facebook profile. Wow nice game I played it on my friend iPad, I have one question. Did you get inspired from games like Master of Orion, Elite frontier, Galactic civilizations etc..? I love your work, I am hoping that one day I'll get to buy your game or grab a promo code when available which ever comes first.
Hello trueblue. Of course, the classic space trading and combat simulations, such as Elite, Freelancer and Privateer, have all had quite an impact on GOF2. As for strategy games such as Master of Orion 2, I know that quite a few people here in the Fishlabs camp hold 'em in very high esteem, but I can't say how much of an influence they had on the making of GOF2, as they are quite different from GOF2 in terms of gameplay, genre, etc...
