Hello all, relatively new to touch arcade forums. I've been working on a puzzle game that is just starting to reach the beta stage and before I send it out to testers I'd like to set up some analytics as best I can. I've found a good number of articles on how to implement various analytics services in your app (Playtomic, Flurry, TestFlight). But I haven't seen anywhere any suggestions or guidelines on how to strategize and make the most of your analytics.

I understand that there will probably be some reactionary decisions for example, "Oh players get to this point and stop, I wonder why." However, I would like to get off to as good a start as possible with a sensible plan. Does anyone have any suggestions?

look at localytics. http://www.localytics.com - we use it in our app and track over 30 things and it automatically tracks installs, country, device type, version type, os type and more. And the community version is free!
