Win $25 iTunes Gift Card with All-in Pedometer - the best pedometer app on the App Store. The contest is over! The winner is WizMan Congratulations and thanks, everyone!
posted review as billyjon in US iTunes: I have been trying out this app for a while. It allows the timer to count down to track my steps with a lock screen in place so that I will not accidentally tap on the screen. I can set my goals how many steps I want to achieve for one day and see how much calories I have burn in my past history. The feature I love is the playlist where I can set the songs to play while I am exercising. The one feature I think this app can improve is tracking light steps. This app miss a few of those light steps I took and only elaborate steps are counted. It can add the sensitivity of tracking the steps and allow the user to calibrate the sensitivity before using the app. This way, it can improve the tracking of all light and heavy steps. And also to include a feature to turn off the GPS location services once the app exits or it will drain the battery.
Too bad this is one of the apps that I cannot post a review after using a promo code. Guess I'm out for this contest. Good luck to all participants. -----
Reviewed in the US store as dcalbie "One of the first fitness apps I installed on my iPod. Works great, has an amazing UI, lots of features and continues to get updated with even more extras!. Does an excellent job of keeping track of you're steps whether your walking, running or jogging." Thanks
A great indoor workout companion. Took it for a spin in the gym today. An honest review posted in US iTunes store under agleung. Thanks for the contest. ----- In the world of pedometers, there are ones that are specialized for indoor use and others that is best suited for outdoor use. The lack of GPS integration means this app is ideal for indoor use such as working out on treadmills and elliptical machines. The reason being GPS doesn't work indoors and consumes battery. As soon as I installed it, I took my iPhone to the gym and it was very accurate on the treadmill. It even worked, more or less, on the exercise bicycle. Over time I will have a detailed track record of my workout. The iPhone background operation is limited but the app pseudo lock the screen when placed in the pocket. I would not recommend keeping it running for more than an hour or two or you will start seeing battery running down. Personally I don't spend more than 30 min per workout session. For dissenters, just remember no apps on iPhone will track your workout all day long. YMMV.
Creepshow, I have only one account on this forum and use only one name. I understand that you're helping to spot cheaters but I'm not M13 and do not know him/her. I really don't. For the review of Emoji Pro, I was looking for a definition of "Emoji" to quote, so I checked out Wikipedia. The first sentence of the said review was copied from there, so I started my review with "According to Wikipedia...", just to give credit. As for the review by M13 for another app starting the same way, yes, I believe it is a coincidence, or because M13 had also read my review of Emoji Pro, since he/she had also written a review for this same app. I don't know what else I can say or do to prove myself. Maybe the Admin or Mod can help me out? I have nothing to hide and I'm not that desperate to win a contest. If you need to clarify further, feel free to PM me and ask me any question. -----
