I'm playing on the second level so I think that's Easy. I've been stuck at 70% ark for ages....I have 3 of the 4 solar systems completely populated and everything connected with pipelines and probably 50 total weapon platforms defending everything. I was just pushing into the 4th system when the cloud monsters started sniping me from off screen. My play style with these games is methodical and take everything over.
Well I played the first game and Alien Tribe 2 is not equal to the first game - it is much better. I think the price is fair if you compare it to other 4X iOS games (for example Starbase Orion is $7.99).
The game looks excellent but I wish it were turned based. I'm an old fart at 58 and do better with turn based games. Does the game have a pause feature, and if it does, can you do anything other than stare at it when paused?
It is not really that fast-paced (especially in the first 25 minutes) and the game has a pause feature. The game also stops if you enter the market place or other screens.
That's good enough for me then, as long as a menu is open and the action is suspended. I will buy this game then. Thank you!
Reduced price Alien Tribe 2 is now on X-Mas sale! We have reduced the price from $6.99 to $2.99 for a few days.
What's it like? I'm close to buying but the damn iap scares me. Would love to hear how you're getting on. Can you enter commands while the game is paused? That would be helpful.
Stuck on the tutorial! I'm stuck on tutorial 7, where you start to learn combat. I build a construction ship, then an energy distributor. I then build some Railguns and defense railguns (not sure what the difference here is, as an aside). I connect the guns to the energy distributor (a very thin line appears betweeen them), then set off the combat. I then get annihilated. I tried dragging from the railguns to the enemy, but it seems to make no difference. If I tap on a railgun, a big green/red button appears. What does it do? There must be something simple that I am missing (apart from some brain cells), please put me out of my misery and tell me what. Thanks and merry Christmas, CJ PS Have now managed to get the guns to work, but I still don't know what the red/green button is for. Also, is there any 'save game' option, other than 'continue'? Ie, if I am making progress, can I save at a point and restore it? Thanks CJ
And with that gesture, I'll take the jump on principle, even if I don't ever play the game. Note to other devs: good customer service builds valuable reputation.
Have you connected a pipeline to your solar storage and the pipeline to your energy distributor? Your railguns won't shot without energy. Tutorial 7 is just for "training" and I think you don't have to defeat the Malloc warships. The red / green button for a weapon platform is to switch on/off the platform.
I'm very interested in this game but am still trying to figure out the gameplay. Is this similar to "Space Station Frontier" where you build out links and add stationary turrets along nodes? Or is there exploration involved and ships you send out to colonize? I can't quite figure it out from the video. Thanks for the info.
