All these are very impressive. I think on the graphics alone the game should be a winner. I know a lot of people like the oldschool vector-style graphics.
I second that buddy. Almost anything vector and pixel art does it for me! As a big fan of the original Alien Space, I'm really looking forward to this retro edition.
The trailer for the game is here! I hope you guys like it. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Alien Space Retro has been submitted to Apple for AppStore approval. I've tentatively set July 20th as the release date, but that's a bit subject to change if the approval takes longer. I also added some new screenshots to the Facebook page, go check them out guys. Also, make sure to join the FB page since that's usually where I first post the latest news on the games I'm working on. I also sometimes post promo codes there. Screenshots: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150252189618857.322414.317119518856 On pricing and IAPs: The game will be coming out at $0.99. There will also be some IAPs available: Light weapons: -Proton Beam -Lightning Gun Heavy weapons: -Cluster Missile -Cutter New game mode: -Lost in Space Other items: -Weapon Pack (includes all weapons) I cant wait for the game to come out. I've put a lot of work into it and I think people are really going to like it. .
Bought Alien Space when it went on sale recently and was pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to see what Retro brings to the table.
You certainly wont need the IAPs to play or finish the game. They're just meant to be additional things you can get if you already like the game. Also from a developer view, it means I can try to make the game cheaper and expand the audience, as well as possibly keep adding content after release. Without IAPs I just couldnt spend the time adding new stuff because it literally wouldnt pay the bills, and if the game doesnt make any money then I have to stop being an indie developer and get a fulltime job. So, think of getting IAPs as sort of supporting the dev and increasing the chances of future updates and new games.
I never used IAPs as I have to buy iTunes Gift Cards myself, and I'm 14, so I gotta save for new game releases, but if this is that game that gets me very excited, I will buy IAP just to support devs!
Well how about this, PM me with your email address, and when the game comes out I will send you a promo code so you can get the game for free. Then if you like it just tell your friends or whatever.
