    Bug?

So, it seems anytime you retreat out of a mission, anywhere on the map it takes you back to the very beginning. The First Ruins.

Pretty annoying cause then you have to scroll all the way back to where you were.

    Bug or intended?

Try to have 1 or 2 Healers as they can put down the heal-over-time skill and a passive constant regen aura.
Then your main character should be someone who is at least fast if not fast and have range such as a Hunter. If you don't have a someone with range attacks then just return to the center and heal a little before checking out another corner.

    To Foursaken Media:
The General class seems to be buggy as I got the 4th skill at 2 stars and nothing for reaching 5 stars.

Do you have assassins among your ranks? How about anything that deals poison damage? If you have 2 assassins (One to control, one for ai), Necromancers lose all of their value, as assassin can deal over 10 damage in one attack, and 10 is the max possible amount of defense, meaning that assassin can deal damage through their defense. If not, you should have that poison staff from necronon? (I don't know how far in the game you are) If you have any class with a poison ability, note that poison ignores both def and edf. As for the skellies they raise, you should try using AOE attacks like wizard's flare, pyromancer/elementalists fireball, or priests judgement day. These are heavy energy atracks that should eliminate groups of skeletons quickly.

    How do I beat Necronon???

Hi, I've been stuck on the Necronon level for about a day, and it's really difficult. Does anyone have any specific and detailed tips and advice on how to beat him???

Just beat him on the first try.

    Team make up :

    Saint , priest , healer , apprentice , archmage , 2 wizards , 2 crossbow men and a trapper.

Basically 3 on demand healers 1 apprentice with the other 6 roles filled with ranged. You could fill in the rest with melee but they need to have high health and EDEF. All picks should have high HP , attack and EDEF. All fighters have decent weapons so spam the item shops refresh until you get good picks.

So in the fight wait 5 seconds for auto battle to move your toon for you. Spam heals when you have MP. Switch to apprentice to use his mana charge ability to get 10 MP back (at 4 stars). Try to keep at least 3 fighters up as that's how many I had at the end. He'll go down eventually.

If you fail with this setup don't worry. Every failure is a learning opportunity. What can you change to succeed ? Better gear ? Grab a thief and go grind gold with their pickpocket ability. Better abilitys ? Go grind other levels till your guys level up a bit more. Different classes ? Be #1 in the company charts so when assessment time comes around you get lots of diamonds. Then grind until your guys have enough diamonds to evolve.

    Don't give up ! Good luck !

EDIT : Sorry folks it was a Saint not a Wise One in my initial line up.

A bit of context first - I'm in a 'defend this location' mission with multiple necromancers in waves, with other assorted skellies. (Already survived it, but more through sheer attrition than anything else - I'm looking for tactics to make the going easier)

I do have a thief that I'm shaping up to be an assassin, but his skill only inflicts poison on the *next* hit, so its use is limited.
I've also considered mass poisoning - but my primary means of poison delivery are my wizards with their poison ooze, and I'm not so willing to stick their squishy necks out in a mission where survival is paramount.

I have Necronon's staff and recognise that it shines here, but a single staff isn't as effective against multiple foes. The other skellies are fine - when they're not being shielded by those problematic necromancers.

I'm also employing a priest and a paladin, but their holy blast skill isn't too effective once the skellies are shielded (that shield is killing me!). It usually results in said priest/paladin being mobbed in short order, too.

I'm currently working on getting a trapper so I can start laying down poison mines, that ought to help some. But Assassins are going to take some time, and I'm loathe to consider a strategy that requires me to grind out tier 5 classes.
    Thanks for the suggestions though!

Edit: just tried out panfried's bomb suggestion. It's pleasingly effective, essentially the poor man's AOE. Thanks!

Both are from a side path that opens up when you get all the stars on "Boomers gonna Boom".

    Tomb of Necronon Help Needed

This game is a blast and I love it already. I have every star collected in the first 3 islands, had an easy time beating Colossus, and everything's good. Only problem is, I can't beat Necronon.

He just destroys my team every time I go in. I've tried fighting him with only one character, (my Wizard) but it doesn't work as eventually even the Wizard dies.

Someone else already posted a guide above as to how to beat the level, and while I'll definitely use parts of it (Gonna hurry up to that Saint, and of course I just bought a Rogue instead of a Thief only an hour ago), my team is just way too far removed from that team.

I don't need the star, I just want to complete the mission and unlock all of the classes I want in the Rock Islands. Any advice?

Which part ? If it's the first one you need to bring a farmer or two as their apples count towards the total.

For the second take high speed toons to get all the artifices while outrunning the mobs. The skelly assassins will always target the fighter you are controlling so switch to another when they are close.

For the last one try to coax your fighters out of the square they are in. Try switching between them. The spinners can be taken out as while the spin attack is cute it has no defence against a ranged attack. Be sure to switch to a healer to keep the heals up

I have found that with the Necron fight he does a truckload of poison damage so anyone close to him will get decimated very quickly.

So go in with a team :

    * heavy on ranged attacks
    * light on melee (maybe all with shields so you can use phalanx's shields up to mitigate the poison damage)
    * a few healers in it (at least 3 IMHO)
    * a couple of mana recharge guys (apprentice for mana recharge , wizard for potion drop)

While the game has one single mana pool for all your fighters it also IIRC has cool downs on abilities. That's why you bring a few healers - if one is on CD switch to the next healer. Everyone will take tons of damage so you need to be healing all the time - let the games auto play feature worry abut shooting at Necron.

The mana recharge guys are there as you will go through mana quicker then ice on a hot plate. Don't forget you can switch between guys by clicking on their portrait.

So keep shields up up on the melee , switch to healer , heal , apprentice/wizard for mana recharge , use cool downs on DPS. Wash , rinse , repeat.

What's with the no ads purchase? I bought it and I still have ads for the 5 gem thing and store refresh.

I played a bit before I bought the starter pack. I recall seeing a still ad being displayed after you finish the stage. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it was really annoying. Especially since the video ads are playing for training, 5 gems and refreshes. IIRC, Unity made everyone move to video ads for in-game rewards. If you used a still ad instead of a video ad, you lost out on the ad revenue or something like that. The Devs can confirm of course.

Speaking of annoying, I too did not receive the gems for the training quest. I had enough gems only because I had already purchased the starter pack. I'll look for the Dev account and send a PM. On one hand, the game does give me a good amount of gems while playing. (I managed to get #1 a few "days" in a row.) On the other hand, the game is supposed to give me the gems to rush that training quest.

Stuck on the wise one and getting the star for mushy royale + end of game?

I beat mushy royale but I can't get the star and personally I have to get every star for every level, it just makes me feel more accomplished lol. As for "the wise one" I get absolutely destroyed after about 1:30 can't beat it at all. Also, after you beat the wise one is that the end of the game? I see no more areas so go to after and if that is the case that's super unfortunate because this is one of the best games I've played in a while. I got this game 3 days ago and if I'm already at the final boss that sucks haha. If there really is nothing to do after it I'm hopeful they'll add some additional areas later.

To beat The Wise One I used, well, a Wise One with the necro staff equipped. Make sure to have a good mix of healers and defenders that will camp out at the castle to defend it while you are running around and aiming for the Skelly Archers and Skelly Necromancers. Do not let them build up or you will get annihilated quickly.
When I got hurt I quickly switched over to my Saint and used the group heal skill. If you happen to have a Paladin his passive skill will double the healing amount to all other teammates nearby, a very nice bonus.
Having a Sharpshooter will help out too as he can use the Barrage skill from time to time.

For those who don't want to know what happens after The Wise One skip over this spoiler,
That is the last mission. After you beat it the Wise One will mention future missions to go on but it has not been release yet... Hopefully soon, I can't wait!

There are a few cases where I can see a point in maxing and using the lower classes,
Farmers for their Harvest skill when you need to collect apples.
Dark Wizard for their Poison Master skill in conjunction with a Wise One using the necro staff.
A Crossbowman will attack much faster than a Sharpshooter, albeit weaker.
A large group of Phalanxes could be devastating especially if a Javalineer is in the mix.
A Healer is pretty useful for the Regen Aura and Circle of Protection.
I actually miss my Monk's Inner Peace skill as Master Monk loses it.

I am sure there are other skills and synergies like these but you get the idea :).
I do wish you could pick one passive from a lower tier to use in the top tier, but that may be too powerful .
