I've been working on Multiplayer for [app]War3100[/app] since before I put it on the AppStore a while back and am eliciting feedback from the user community on what features you would most like to see?

If you haven't played it, the game is a futuristic turn-based strategy game with two sides. I have 29 maps included in the game that you can play in "skirmish" mode against the computer or via hot-seat against another person. For Multiplayer I'm working on giving you the ability to play against anyone who has connectivity over the Internet.

Right now I have the basics:
    1. Game state is stored on my game server - This means you join a game, download your turn, take your turn, upload your turn, and then go do whatever else you want while the other guy takes their turn (you could even go play a turn in another game you are in). The point here is you aren't actively connected to the opponent.

    2. Game creation handled via my game server - You create games on the remote game server that keeps track of all games submitted. You can set a password, the map to use, and the starting money for each side in the games you create. You can join any game on the list that has an opening and you know the password for.

I've thought of many things to do such as map uploading, chat, voting, etc. but am working to get the necessary functionality out first that people will most enjoy. So I'm looking to hear from you anything you think HAS to be there for multiplayer to be fun for you.

Another question I have is, will Multiplayer make enough difference for you to consider picking up the game if you haven't already? I'm looking to get a feel for how many people would take advantage of this feature. The #s affect the design as well.

    Thanks for your Support,
    Todd
